for those wondering about why ehsaan likes katha -- he doesn't. viaan clearly sees it as a pattern. basically it is about the chase and acquisition. whatever is expensive or beyond his reach, ehsaan has to 'love' that. then once he got the girl, he is bored. then on to another. so katha has clearly a 'touch-me-not' tattoed on her head. something that clearly shows that she is not the type of flirty type girl who will accept any chik chik uncle. that is also what attracted viaan as well in some sense -- that she isn't like those gold diggers. in ehsaan's case, it is about the chase and not about getting to know her at all. thats why he has no true interest in aarav or really empathizes with her problems. instead, it is almost like a strategy.

1. be over friendly and play innocent

2. make lots of jokes

3. be touchy touchy / spend lots of time

4. get her to open up (so she will become dependant on you)

5. impress her with your bank account.

that is such an interesting point -- why didn't he react with anger or frustration? maybe it has happened so many times that he no longer feels anything but slight irritation? does he know that ehsaan won't change and this will keep happening. or he just acccepts that he has so few people in his life and so he accomodates even though he is aware of ehsaan's flaws?

I don't know M. I was enjoying Batman-Robin bond. It was smooth sailing and out of the blue, Ehsan does such a despicable act. As a viewer, I wonder whether I am watching the same show as I now have to reflect on what I have seen in the past 40 eps. In my opinion, the writers have goofed up in Ehsan's characterisation. Why were there no hints before? The Ehsan-Viaan friendship appears to be highly toxic. If Viaan indeed does know about Ehsan's habits, why is he putting up with him? Ehsan put Viaan down in front of Katha. Viaan knows why Ehsan did this but he accepts the act. Is this normal for both of them? I am toh confused!

ITV logic says that ex should be someone katha knows from years ago. maybe rewa. or some school friend. it will be interesting when ehsaan's past backfires. am also wondering how his father died and whether there is some story there also. we are not told anything about ehsan and his family much....

No, please. I like Dodo. Let her not be involved in the mess that is Viaan's relationships. Katha will need sane people around her.

I am too lazy to re-watch but I am going to guess that there were signs earlier with ehsaan but we didn't see them because we were all obsessed with one night stand proposal and what actually happened that night during those 6 hours.

maybe we shouldn't blame the makers.
