In other shows, the leads would have 100 closes moments and atleast one trip-fall-catch scene by now. Even dimwitted writers know, the key to a successful show is a compelling lead pair. For KA, close moments with soft background music won't make sense at this stage. Hence the slow pace is understable even if slightly frustraiting. Hopeing things will be much more exciting once the love story begins. I have enough faith in the writers and actors to create intensely romantic love story.

This is probably what happens when stories don't focus on leads, it becomes stagnant. Since writers are taking their time, they have to waste screenspace on ehsaan.

Objectively speaking, it is better idea to slow down the pace because if Viaan fell for her too fast, it would look unrealistic.

Might also be a case of too many characters. Everyone needs their time to shine. They are being paid, so need to be used. As long as it moves the story along it’s fine but if it just adding nothing, then it becomes a problem.

It’s fine until Sony loses interest for something new. I feel shows should have two plans in place, a condensed version in case the channel decided to pull it earlier than planned and original version. That way you retain the story without a rush job at the end.

I think it is just lazy writing - hero ko whitewash karna hai, uske aas paas sabko kaala kardo.

The writers had a golden opportunity to keep Ehsan’s good nature & their bromance intact by showing Ehsan genuinely developing a soft corner for Katha & hence flirting mildly, which perfectly good-natured people can do - no need to make them cheapo evil friend villian for that. That can be shown to lead to some conflict between the 2 men, until Ehsan sees which way the wind is blowing. Conflict doesnt need one partt to be bad, it can happen from 2 good people having a difference of views or liking the same girl.

When two men try for same lady any thing can happen

Best of friends become worse of enemies

“ history” and “ literature “ gave enough examples of it

To the level of friends going to wars and killing each other !

ya but in OG also ehsan turned creepy and since writers have to maintained atleast major tracks like OG so think thats why they are doing this. And ehsan's growing feelings for katha is important to make viaan realize his feelings for katha.

You are right that ehsan could have been kept as normal fun loving mildly flirting male colleague but then they would loose many future tracks where ehsan contributes to misunderstanding between viaan and katha and even to ehsan's own complex story with rewa.

And apart from that umbrella scene I dont think ehsan was a good friend to viaan ever. Slowly we are getting to know he was always self centered and opportunistic, his mom who is viaan's mom's best friend is also not what she appears at first.

Even Eshan’s Mom is an “ opportunist” she is waiting and cracking joke appearing silly but focused on the goals!

Viaan’s father left for other woman Teju fell in to depression

I think Eshan Mom means she could have made other woman depressed ( she crack jokes every day with her enough 🤣

Like Mom like son doesn’t value “ friends tied with a knot right to the heart”, where a person will never bitch about his or her bestie !

Then slowly Viaan & Katha will get back as couple ( only after he proves himself ) he will never accuse Katha of leaving him but Viaan will question his Mom “ How could she believe such lies about him !”

Then there will be few more times diff reasons they will fet separated every time Eshan will bad mouth about Viaan and he will propose to Katha !

It will be strange if they show this Katha marrying Viaan then divorcing him & getting ready to marry another guy. Can u imagine the impact on Aarav with this changing strp-daddy? He is not ready for even one-step daddy. And Katha is also not a woman who is needy for a man in her life, that she will again date someone after divorcing Viaan. It is totally out of character for our Katha.
