What an episode. I was only going to speak about Viaan but Katha's one line hit me so hard. A mother fighting for her child is pure, pious, sacred and needs to be respected. But a woman minding her own business, a hard worker, an efficient employee asks for a loan then is she fair game? She can be bought? This gave me a new perspective. Yeah, why did she have to tell him the reason? Why did she have to be a mother to earn his respect?
Katha was able to look into his eyes and speak. Her conscience is clear. She said she knows what she will say to Adi and God. My heart 💔 I was already feeling battered by watching Viaan break down but Katha's words will stay with me for a long time.
Going back to Viaan's monologues. He called himself Viraj Raghuvanshi..he used it like a gaali. But Viraj Raghuvanshi was happy after becoming ghatiya but Viaan is not happy. He's torn, devastated. And the weak moment where he looked down from his balcony Viaan hit such a low today. He thinks of the barbs he threw at Katha, the extra hours, the extra work, the official dinner party..all the time that she could spend with her kid. Yes, he would have given her the money, he would have let her take time off, he would have reduced her work load if he would have known but it again comes down to Katha's statement. Why did he have to know all this for him to treat her well? Why did she have to be a mother for him to empathise with her, for him to treat her with respect.
Ons Wali raat was supposed to be Kaali raat but how dark was this night. How haunting was this night. Katha cannot forgive him and asks him not to forgive himself. 💔 Where's the end to this darkness? Not just Viaan..we all need savera now. That ray of hope.
I absolutely loved today's episode.
I'm blown away by today's performances. What a way to start the weekend. I am going to watch the episode again and again.
