How/Why I started to dislike Raunak.

Raunak.........what to say about him??? He is an enigma!!!!
Initially, I liked him, mind you even when he was lying to Robbie, making Kasturi lie to Robbie.....even then I was with him, but after that Robbie-Kasturi misunderstanding, he started going downhill for me!!!

If I was Raunak and knew Robbie since childhood, I would know the in and out of Robbie!! I would know exactly how insecure Robbie is, I would know very well that not getting his love will kill him. So what would I do in that situation? I would follow Robbie to earth's end if need be, to get hold of him and drill into his brain the truth!!!! I WILL NOT make 2 paltry attempts to try to explain the situation to Robbie!!!! And when I can't get hold of him a third time, jump into the mandap to get married to his GF!! NO SIR!!!!

That is my biggest problem with Raunak, that his character did not remain consistent with what was shown initially!! He was shown like he loved Robbie more than himslef, but when the time came to show that love, he was a complete wimp!!!! My liking for him changed to a neutral feeling towards him after this point.

Fine.....lets forget the above reason and move forward. He had Kasturi's best interest in his mind when getting married. Lets accept that for now. They get married, he is aware throughout that K still loved R. He is seeing that R is repenting like hell!! He is completely aware of what is going on and what does he do? Phir bhi jale pe manak chidhakta hai!!!!!

Once again, if I was Raunak, I would have refused to participate in all the finding the ring, carrying bride upstairs ceremonies!!! If I was even a little bit sensitive towards my friend, if I loved him even a little, then I would have realized how difficult this would be for him!!!!!!!! I would have flat-out refused to do any of that stuff. Any of those ceremonies would not have been more important to me than my best friend's pain!!!! But what does Raunak do, he does not so much as raise a whimper, goes ahead and does all the rasms as if his life depended on it.

That was the moment my neutral feelings towards him turned into dislike for his character. He did not reflect anything that he proclaimed!!

What Robbie did afterwards, was only a reaction to the above inconsistencies. What he did afterwards was perfectly normal from his point of view. In fact I say Raunak pushed Robbie to do those things with his behaviour!! And after this point Raunak could never redeem himself in my eyes.......never!!! Because he separated two people really really in love with his acts and there was no way he would have found happiness after such a heinous act!!!!

I know that all of these are the mistakes of the creatives but I just wanted to share with you all how I feel Raunak's character hit the bottom.

i knw we r suppose to compare serials but i have to so that iz da same reason i didnt like piyush in kahiin to hoga cuz he knw sujal from childhood and alwyz use to say i wud sacrifice anything of minez for u and whn kashish sujal fell in luv misunderstanding wuz created beteen da to by sujal's brother and against piyush and wht did piyush do instead of clearing thingz he married kashish even though sujal came to kashish and asked 4 forgiveness and even thn instead of piyush backing off even though kashish wantef to marry piyush to save her family's izzat he knew kasish loved only and only sujal he still went off to marry her thtz y i hated piyush 4 da same reason u hate raunak i also hate him and diz drama cuz itz a copy im sorry for comparing modz

Yaar same to same yahi wajah hai ki main raunak ko hate karne lagi lekin meri hate tumhari hate se thorda pehle start ho gayi 😆 😆 jab usne pehli baar robbie ko jhooth bola 😡 i think U remember police station scene jab kastu sach bolne hi wali thi aur usne jhoot bol kar kastu ko rok diya 😡 aur hate aur bard gayi jab uss raunak ne kasturi ko hospital bulaya 😡 jis problem ko wo akele handal kar sakta tha usne kasturi ke saath apna name likh kar unn masoom aur Pavitr riste par apni dhokhe baaji ki stemp laga di 😡 aur ab yee nafrat itni bard chuki hai ki main apna time waste nahi karna chahti uske bare meh baat karke 🤢 😆 😆

Like u said yee sab creative ne kiya main bhi kehti hoon par u know jab robbie ki baat aati hai toh sirf robbie ko kasoor waar samjha jata hai 😭 😭 😭

Main kabhi nahi chahati thi ki raunak kabhi bhi die ho cos main yee chahati thi ki wo negitive turn ho jaye aur uski dhoke baazi samne aa jaye 😡

all of the points you touched on were bang on to how i feel as well. 👏👏 infact my head is reeeling from sundays posts in the ronuak thread... but i have to say you put it waayyy better then i ever could so bravo bravo 👍🏼

for me ronuak from the get go thorah sai aajeeb dost tha, i mean from the moment he met kas he was always in cohoots with her, telling her how to undermine robbies attempts to get rid of kasturi,and thus putting robbie down.. the guy from the beginning luves to meddle in other people's lives, alot of people hate devika and curse her for her meddling but in my eyes these two are very similar character, they both know how to manipulate people and getting them to do their dirty work...devika is one who hides her true intentions behind a mask, and so does rounak. There was a scene on kasturi's sangeet (when marrying nauman shaw) when she was coming down the stairs, they director choose to focus on ronuak's looking at kasturi and i thought at the moment this guy luves kasturi... he was looking at her pretty longingly...thats when i thought this guy would be trouble but then from that moment on he seemed to help robbie all the time so then i thought i was wrong....

@ prag I completely agree with ur reasoning. 100% truth in what u have said.. I never liked him from the beginning and when that Shivani thing came up I was hoping that they wuld show raunak's dark side then ... I mean why did he hide the fact that she was alive and well and in the asylum from her own family I mean what a flimsy excuse that he was waiting for her to get cured. and remember how he had started getting irritated and showing his temper when that thing was happening... I felt that he had killed the guy whom Shivani wanted to marry and that was why she became mad and he didnt want her to get cured... but that theory of mine also went cahoots... the fact that he told Kas to lie and not tell robbis abt Divya's being pregnant speaks volumes abt him I always felt that he wanted to take Kasturi away from robbie always because I think he was always jealous of robbie's success and he didnt want to live in robbie's shadow anymore so how else to make robbie suffer ... take the thing that he loves the most away from him... kasturi...

@ robz yes dear I do think raunak's charachter was quite despicable and not as mahaan as he wanted it to be.. I remember distinctly the look on his face when robbie tells him that today kasturi will take care of both of them.. remember when they r abt to go and get ready and robbie tells raunak that he doesnt know what to wear.. raunak looks at him as if.. no way am I going to let u get the girl... and y does he call kas on that day when he knows that she is getting engaged ...
I know creatives ki maya hay but still they shuld balance it out and have shown that raunak isnt that mahaan a character..

@robina: yes dii he always has interest in others matters..he has some special feeling for kas since from the day he met her..after marrying kas this has shown more..even he knows kas still in love with ro ..started romancing in very second seeing a rainy apportunity..

i do not compeletely agree with you.. as i think tht Raunak did try his best but if robbie was not ready to listen then? And also, all raunak did was to help Kasturi!! what did Kasturi and her fmly not go theu coz of robbies behaviour? I think raunk and rbbie r both justified in their actions !!

I agree with u Pragalbha... and if u recall der waz a scene on the day of marriage wn Robbie waz apologizing and Raunak waz der with kasturi and robbie... der he understood dat Robbie waz regretting for watever he did to kasturi... but still Raunak waz like Kasturi u can decide wat u wanna do... doesnt he knw dat Kasturi luvs robbie and dat Robbie luvs Kasturi... den why d hell did he set an option in front of Kasturi... he shud hav jst backed off frm the marriage... coz he knws dat datz wr the happines of robbie and Kasturi lies.. Kasturi mght take a rong decision coz of the problems she had to go thru aftr Robbies change in attitude 2wards her... but Raunak waz in his right state of mind... He shud hav givn Kasturi more time ...

P.S: But Ppp, I think we shud stop discussing RaS now.... He is a Dead character now😆... We will dicuss abt him again wen he returns from the dead😆.... dont u think we have soo much other stuff to discuss rather than a dead character😆😆😆
