But yes, i might be disliked for this , but i dont find Devika abnormal.....there are many mothers like Devika in this world....and we may despise them....but if we think from their angle ...then all they are trying to do is to either be possessive about their children or alternatively to protect them.

Devika the character has many shades....and is more worthwhile writing about her than the pink colored romance of the lead trio 😊

@jwmrk your right on the money honey!! and that is why i cant hate devika for she has always been there for her kids, with the exception of shivani but then she didnt know where shivani was.... but in reality mother's whose son's are that talented find it very hard to let go, its not about the money its something deeper, like you want your child to reach their full potential and you dont want anyone getting in the way of that. its like when your child does good, its representative of their parents hardwork too.. do i make any sense... for i feel deivka has put the best she has to offer into her son robbie, and is very proud of him, she even shares a very deep relationship with alaana, but after that you can see that she got very busy with growing the business, and thus her younger kids got neglected, but that happens alot with working moms, so very well defined and realistic charcter in my eyes as well.

I have never felt that devika's special preference to robbie is because of his money, fame etc. Like robina said, it has more to do with him achieving his maximum potential. And if she constantly talks about money, fame etc ( I used to hate it before when she used to harp on it all the time), but now i realise she is just using them as a motivating factor😕.

I mean we use chocolates or toys for kids to get them to do something, she is using money, fame etc. to get her son to achieve his potential.

Whatever her reasons for not wanting kasturi in robbie's life, let us say i am glad now based on the current track that devika atleast is doing something (but not enough😡😡😡) to protect robbie's interest as robbie obviously is blinded by his love for kasturi.

Lastly, from what i have seen of the sabharwal kids, robbie seems to be the most emotional one which is why maybe devika is most protective of him though i am surprised she has failed to spot what a mess ariv has become.

Maybe Ariv is successful in camouflaging it well. We dont know because we are not shown this track. But Devika does fill in for Ariv when required....like when she stepped in when RaS held Ariv responsible for the accident....

Sometimes kids can be deceptive right....I mean if the parents of criminals knew what horrendous agenda the kids had then they would have stopped atleast some of the crimes that happened.

I feel Devika loves all the kids ...perhaps more of Robbie and that is natural....If you have 4 or 5 kids its natural that one might be a favorite....that does not mean that the mother is ignoring others....India mein so many parents have a preference for first born male child...haina 😊

1. Alaana also, nahi to woh uske horrible pati ko kyun tolerate karti. And the only reason she has Alana close is to guard Alana, else Nikhil to use barbaad karke rakhta
2. Ariv also, does she not want the best for Ariv. She does. only thing is maybe a call centre is not her idea of success. How many parents we know insist that the kids follow thier chosen career path.....many...haina 😊
3. Shivani....frankly i felt Devika was the most moved with the Shivani incident....what is wrong with her wanting to keep Shivani at an asylum where she is better taken care off than this bhool bhuliaya of a house....you know Shwetha & Robzs, especially when you have girls who are mentally retarded so many times people prefer keeping them in a hospital, only so that the girl child is not abused (at times sadly even by male family members or friends😭 )
4. Divya.......because considering what Divya did any other mother would have been livid....And frankly this track was never shown to us

Devika just used Divya and Shivani to get back at KC. But she never let her own kids down apart from Robbie. And even in Robbie's case Devika has her own reasons for not wanting KC

She likes Robbie more perhaps because he is more gifted or simply because he is in fact her karta-dharta son and also her first born son.....Am sure both of you will somewhere identify with this typical Indian mentality 😊
