An Affair To Remember....?

That's the name of a famous 60's Hollywood movie with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.

Last night's episode with the car hitting Kasturi while Robbie waits for her on the rooftop reminded me of that movie.

The two characters in the movie meet on a cruise and fall in love and agree to meet on top of the Empire State Building after the journey. While Cary Grant waits for her there, Deborah Kerr meets with an accident while she was crossing the road to reach the building. Exactly as shown yesterday...even the scene where the people gather around Kasturi while R is on the roof. He spents the next few months/years believing that she'd changed her mind about them.Later Cary finds out that Debbie is in a wheelchair. she apparently didn't want to be a burden to him so didn't contact him or some such.

I'm 100% sure Ekta will lift this idea from the film. Didn't Bollywood do the same with a Aamir-Manisha starrer called Maan?

I havent watched the movie but that is a fantastic story.. Something different. But would Ekta compromise TRPs now when Kasturi has beaten SP? I only wonder.. With this hat-ke concept, there's always a risk involved. So let's see..Thanxx for sharing the info. 😊

agree with you the scene is the same as the movie and hoping it remains to the copy of the scene but not the whole story cos as sana said i dont think ekta will compromise the trps ...

this is a soap opera and so many unresolved issues are still there and that concern rk ...well lets wait and watch ...

your are right that scene is kind of similar to the one in "An affair to remember". By the movie this movie was copied by bollywood with amir khan and manisha koirala, i think that name of the movie was Mann

your right about the scene but i think Kasturi will get alright and will go to Robbie's house but he would probably in some other country and Devika will say to Kasturi he married Ishitta but it will be a lie 😡 .Then Kasturi's parents will find someone else for Kasturi and Robbie will stop her marriage again and marry her. 👏

I haven't watched the movie, but from your description, It would make an interesting and different track if used in Kasturi. Something different than the usual, multiple marriage tracks...Thanks for sharing info on the movie, I would really look forward to a track like that in Kasturi, hopefully BT will use it...

i dont know why but that the Vivaah way..because the guy was ready to accept her no matter how, because he loved her, not her beauty!..but i don't think she'll be in a wheelchair..thats drastic measures

i don't think kekta will use the rest of the story in the seriel for the very small reason that people wouldn't enjoy such a story in the long run. It's a faboulous story for a movie cos a movie only last 2 hours or so and we know that they will meet sonner or later. but in a soap opera if she did this the audience will have to wait for days and days and since this is a love story i don't think she can take such a risk with the main couple. maybe she'll spin the story in a different way and seperate these two for some time. Can't wait to see what happens today though.
