Why do they call Kasturi unattractive?

As far as I can remember, Kasturi has been called ugly and unappealing a lot of times by some of the characters in this show. It seems really odd, because I think Shubangi is quite pretty in terms of looks and body figure. What I don't get is, if Kasturi was supposed to be so unattractive that Robbie didn't even want to touch her at first, why didn't the creative heads show her look like that? It's strange to see characters mocking either her looks or her figure, when it isn't bad at all. When a character is accused of being unattractive, he or she should atleast be made to look like it!

In Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi when anyone called Jassi ugly, it made sense because the creative heads of the show made her look unappealing even though the actress playing her was gorgeous. She didn't get to wear make-up or elegant outfits before the makeover.

In Kasturi's case, she already looks stunning enough...I can somewhat understand the "I hate her because she is from a poor family" dialogues about her, but I really can't comprehend the "She is ugly and fat" comments made by various characters. She sure as hell doesn't appear the way they claim her to be!

like in y'days epi, alana called her fat and unattractive etc..and i was thinking...that is not true!! lolz and even Robbie called her fat (okay well that was in a sweet way..and he didnt mean it) 😳 😳

shubhangi the actress is really gorgeous and beautiful...

in kasturi she plays a middle class girl and not one of high society.

so devika and daughter calling her ugly is not for the real shubhangi but her character kasturi...you know high society mentality for them only mark clothes and high heels that counts not the inner beauty that kasturi possess and for which robbie fell head over heels in love..

same here in today's episode when devika says tht kasturi will hav to go to the gym to fit the dress....i was like but shez pretty petite 😕 😕 .....but dnt knw wat the dialogues writer thinks when he writes the dialogues 😕 😕 .....it was so cute when robbie called kasturi moti and the hug 😳 😳 😳 ...i hav watched it atleast 25 times 😆 😆

Actually, Kasturi is very cute n doing well as per her role, Yeah, sometmes her outifits r really really poor n old fashioned but she carries herself very nicely...

Yesterday's epi where Robie's sis insults her reg her figure n look i think she herself was looking horriable..n' ugly n Robiee's mom is another Bhootni 🤢 😡

lol...is it just me or is Robbies sister a bit bigger than Kasturi? Then why can't Kasturi fir into those clothes? haha

nd dey are callin ishita beautiful... god! in wat sense is she beautiful... I cant understand wat der idea of beauty is... I too think dat Kasturi is beautiful and she has got a nice figure as well... Creative heads hav gone outta der mind!

i agree with you completely...the actress playing Kasturi, is really really pretty....the thing I like about her the most though, is her simplicity, she's not all dolled up or anything, and that really lets her beauty come out naturally! 😳
