In all this fuss about the women in Kasturi, I feel that we must remember that actually it is the character of Robbie as played by Karan Patel who has the drawing power for the public. I have seen from the very beginning that his first making an appearance in the serial is the start of its appeal. The acting, the movement and the facial expressions and the eyes of Karan Patel as well as his passionate emotional scenes, his rock star concerts and the sincerity with which he emotes are really what makes this serial a must watch.
So in the end if they give him a presentable heroine there can be no complaint from us - our first choice is obviously Shubhangi as Kasturi but even another actress could be brought in without too much viewer agony.
At the same time the present twist in the story is unacceptable with Kiran as Kasturi rival. Kasturi must remain the undisputed heroine and the story line must remain consistent for the public to remain faithful to the serial and for us to enjoy the presence of Karan Patel in a favourite serial.
