I think more than Anand it is Ratna's fault who is the marriage wrecker here, she had the guts to go and met Piya and confront her for moving out of Anands life for good whereas Piya is still very much legally married to Anand

I do think Ratna is at fault, but Anand is still more to blame in this situation. He needed to be MAN enough to take a stand.

i think anand and ratna are to be equally blamed. ratna is a home wrecker but why do we blame only women all the time? i would may be blame anand more because after all he was the one in a relationship and cheated on his wife.

I agree with Bluepink...it is the fault of both, Anand and Ratna. I know that this might stir a hornet's nest here - but to some extent it may be Pia's fault also. There must be something in Pia that did not satisfy Anand's desires. On the other hand, Pia may also be subconsciously anti-Anand. She seems to be doing very well now that Anand is out from her life - going camping with the kids, etc. I am so happy that she is 'finding' herself after all those years of being hidden away from her own likes and dislikes because of Anand.

well said bluepink! I agree with you also that both are to be blamed equally and Anand more than anyone. He can't even decide which woman he loves more and who does he want in his life.. both women wanted him to make a decision but he couldn't even do that. Both times decisions were made by the women (Pia leaving him and Ratna asking him to marry her).

Krutilynn, I see your point! It might have been Pia's fault to some extent but still Anand is to be blamed, I think. Pia was his wife whom Anand was used to as they spent so much time together. Then he meets Ratna, who's free and opposite of Pia in so many ways. So he was attracted to her (grass is greener on the other side). It's human nature to want what you can't have but that doesn't mean that we get everything we want. If there was something missing in Pia's and Anand's relationship, they should've talked about it instead of Anand going out and having an affair.

I think Anand is at fault here, for when he cheated on his wife he gave Ratna the power to insult his wife....

Piya needs to smack the woman around, I know she's classy, but in real life no one would even be able to be in the same room as the other woman...i know, it's tv!!

Actually i would beg to differ with you Jasmin...I know women who have been through far worse...and once they got the strength to move on, it was like a total transformation - when dealing with the 'other woman' and with their husbands, there was a similar level of maturity as is being shown by Piya. That is why i think that the serial is quite realistic and a welcome break from some of the other dramas that are aired on TV.

I do not quite get the point noted by krutilynn. After 7 years of marriage , isn't it that the relationship you share between each other and the personality of each other become more important to you than any "desire" ?
I might be wrong here also as often I wonder what is it that men seek for in their relationship with the woman.
