Well i do agree that writing matters a lot however great the actor be..I felt in the serial he did try to rise above the shoddy script many times even when the writing was not convincing. But there are episodes when writing is so bad that even actors cannot help.

Good you brought the bollywood example where many of them are average actors (compared to theatre actors i mean) with limitations. They have played to their strengths and become popular like you mentioned. And i see ITV is no different for me.

There is so much Hoopla about senior actors and frankly i see nothing different with them in KZK2.

KP these days is least interested and there were comments here how seemed his previous role.

Hino during Komo track 1 when script came was strong in beginning also came out loud despite years of experience due to negative role. She was on and off when character was made clown in between and end.

KSG whose previous works i have never seen came out AVERAGE for me despite him being given separate writer in beginning. I could barely hear him and then if heard then not clearly. His dialogue throw while maintaining calm (like RR Bajaj) was quite bad sometimes. Many pointed to it.

Aamna did gell well and when the closeups of beginning removed did very well. Infact in my opinion among all the so called senior actors she did the BEST in acting (Hina/ KSG/ KP). Sadly there are fewer appreciation for her on this forum.

Like others also i am quoting being nutral. Have only seen eri's work before no one else. Even with bad crying scenes with some average emotional scenes, anurag's character never lost touch until recent times. *edited by DT* My love for grey characters have no bounds but this version of grey and even actors were beyond my understanding. Dialogue develivery never helped either.

As charu said screen presence, all the other high points and dialogues are top contenders in acting lessons. No one become great without polishing work in all department but certainly you can be good and still succesed. Not everyone is good at emotional scene or even natural. Even big names in bollywood are centrainly very bad but thats not a limit. Transition, expression, different chemistry with different people in story, dialogues, combine with subtle acting and many more is needed. I recently saw a tv show clip were everyone was so OTT loud and half the dialogues were not even clear and people were saying they are the most senior actors in tv. 🤷

I will go with hope's response in this thread that as wellwisher we want to see parth doing good. He already has browny points for most of the part need to work ok some other. As i said previously this actors deserve way better the those bollywood star kids who can't even act a single thing not even express.

Aamna just took the komo to another level and made her place on her own. She will always be rememberd as sassy and classy komo. 👍 She was the best indeed.

Not to hurt RR fans but I recently saw his web show on Hotstar and it was below average because writing and scripting was too slow and blend where i have seen RR perform way better in other good scripted web shows. So writing does matter and sometimes if its that bad that even actors how much ever effort they put end result is going to be blend.

Aamna aced as komo no doubt. Her role was also written better than the rest of them. Point to be noted , if they continued with those weird close ups, aamna also couldn't help but look bad. I agree that many bw stars are average if we consider acting . They try to cover it up with their dancing,body, looks, skin show..Sometimes succeed also.

If I said that parth was average in kzk2 , that's bec he himself set the bar high for his fans. I feel sad also feel disappointed also . I hope he has a great future.

Beyond the point , I neither like ksg nor kp nor rr 😆Personal preference.

In my opinion both Parth and Erica didnt have it in them as actors to fit into the Ek/ SP lead zone and become that GEC faces EK wanted them to become (she did her bit by promoting them a lot).....the kind of actors that work in the GEC realm are different ...Parth still did well till a pt in the show and i think when ever the story shifted away from anupre his acting suffered and it abs hit the pits when the quitting then show shutting drama hit us. They both can do well in web stuff and on the kind of shows that come on sonytv but they dont have it in them to be that SP Colors or Zeetv GEC face in my opinion.

We don't see eye to eye in the show and it's characters.But whatever u said is mostly correct.parica r not for those high voltage saas bahu drama.they r natural actors.tgey performed exceptionally well where acting and content is needed not the other drama.

@Bold: I think to be a GEC success also u need to know acting and do yr job well day in and out and the show has to have some content to connect with the audience and most of the gec successes these days arent saas bahu be it a anupamaa or a chotti sardarni etc.

I do think the art of acting should be bracketed that way. This is not a comparison between theatre or non theatre actors but similar acting levels across mediums TV/ Webseries/ Movies.

Both Parth and Erica did very well as GEC face of KZK2 till it lasted.

I feel there are areas to improve for both actors. All of us agree that KZK2 has such bad storyline and jarring disconnections. They had to survive the longest duration for the bad writing when other characters were for short time. This continuously turning characters upside down after each track or 15-20 weeks duration.

Parth did very well during Bajaj track 1 with KSG and Komo track 2 with Aamna. So i am not inclined to believer that it is anything related to Anupre tracks. Even Pre Covid tracks were good and post covid either due to character or health or combination of both it may have slipped. Post leap there is no story with writers and like tipping point for any one to tolerate the crap. An actor can pull as much bakwaas as one can which has been running for more than an year.

Erica did quite well in previous Sony TV show (lover, strong lady) but she got more flavours in Balaji Show to act compared to previous show. But the story treated her character in worst ways. She was given no monologues in Bajaj 1 track or many imp tracks like pregnancy. Not to mention even when dialogues were written they were average. I feel hence despite such bad storyline for her character she could decently imo.

Webseries/ Sonytv type serial have strong roles with storyline but may not hit high TRP or audience. BT serials are more popular due to so called drama element and illogical plots.

But KZK2 has hit on illogicality high even among BT serials and putting upside down in character arcs. For any ML and FL it would not be easy feat to pull with strongest acting on such illogical plots. I feel even other actors would have done equally bad or little bitter with such bad storyline.

NOTE:

- Repeating once again, comparison and discussion about other shows aren’t allowed (be it KZK1 or KYY or any other).

-KSG or Ronit Roy discussion and their acting calibre are not related to the EDT.

-You are not allowed to discuss about Parth’s acting as Anurag during the whole kzk2 journey. Stick to episode’s acting.

-Namecalling isn’t allowed as per rule. ie Mr lucky basu.
