There were too many revelations planned, bu the chapter would've got too long, so here goes...

Circle of love

To say that Mr Bajaj was shocked to see Prerna and Kukki at his house that night would bean understatement. He said to Prerna, “ Are you okay? I need an explanation, Prerna.Here, I’m worried sick because of your health and you land up as if the wholething was a joke?” He went on, “According to our plan, or rather your plan, you had to have a mild concussion, lose your memory so that you could get into Basu Bari. You were to be in touch with me constantly, or use Kukki to forward messages. I agreed only on these conditions. This blood clot etc was not part of the plan.”

Prerna placed a finger on his lips, “ Shhhh, calm down, calm down. I’m perfectly fine.I had my own reasons to remain incommunicado. Let me explain.”

Mr Bajaj was seething, pushing Kukki into silence. She would let Prerna handle him. “Well,explain then. I’m waiting. ” he said, crossing his arms.

Prerna then went through the events of the last two weeks.When she had the accident at the site, it was Anurag who took her to the hospital.Komolika had followed them, as she was on the site too. At the hospital, Prerna was in pain, but not to the extent that she was unaware of her surroundings. Komolika took her bag with her phone, and left with it. With Anurag around her all the time, Prerna decided on the spot to take the extreme route and spoke to the doctor, explaining her situation. When Mr Bajaj and the rest of the family arrived,the scene was set for a more serious injury.

“There was no need for all this. You could’ve come back home.We would’ve thought of another plan.” said Mr Bajaj.

“Absolutely not, Mr Bajaj. I have no intention of backing out. We’re going to take this through its logical end; the end we have planned for. Anyway, these two weeks have made them relax their guard around me. I continued with it because I saw the advantage. If I had been on the phone too often, or if I had been too close to Kukki, definitely someone would’ve suspected me. Komolika returned my bag,without my phone. Two days ago, I suddenly found my phone, under my bed. I suspect, it’s been combed through and is being tapped.”

“What made you ‘reveal’ this to me now?” said Mr Bajaj, who was still annoyed with Prerna.

“I’ll tell you” Kukki piped up, helpfully. This morning, when I entered Prerna’s room, I found her in Anurag Uncle’s arms!” Mr Bajaj’s face took on an expression of stony coolness. “What is this Anurag uncle?? Please call him Mr Basu. He is no uncle of yours. ” Prerna suddenly looked sheepish, felt the need to justify, “Actually, I pretended to cry because he said he was going to be travelling on work for a day with Komolika. Soooo, he was..”

“Comforting you? Understood. Go on, Kukki.” No one can do sarcasm like Mr Bajaj, thought Prerna, rolling her eyes.

Kukki looked from one to the other. Suddenly the vibes in the room had turned tense. Prerna continued, “After he left, I found Kukki weeping silently, and she kept telling me, she wants to go home to her dad.”

In fact,Kukki was inconsolable that morning. Prerna had finally burst out, “ Kukki,stop overreacting, darling. I know what I am doing, and I am fine. We will go home to your dad. ” Kukki stopped crying and blinked. “You’re fine, your memory’s back?”

Prerna explained her plan. Anurag and Komolika were travelling and that night they would be visiting Mr Bajaj.

“So...(with a big smile) we’re here. Plan is on schedule. Next week, the second part will fructify, which will help me to leave Basu Bari. Is that fine, Mr Bajaj?? ”

Mr Bajaj did not reply, unaffected by Prerna’s cheery attempt to pacify him. Kukki continued, “I was really upset to see her with Anurag Un..Mr Basu. I’ve always seen you both together. I couldn’t handle it. But dad, Prerna, I need to know, why are we doing this whole charade?? I think I deserve to know, I am old enough. Plus, I’m missing college for this.”

Mr Bajaj was not at all happy involving Kukki because it would mean opening a Pandora’s box of secrets and manipulations. Prerna thought otherwise. “I think she does need to know. We cannot keep her in the dark any longer.”

Hugging him from the side, she told him, “We need to have faith in our love for her. I trust her, she’s mature and sensible.”

Mr Bajaj ran his hands through his hair and sighed. “Fine. We need to move fast Prerna. We’ve lost too much time. These two weeks were unexpected and unnecessary, I might add. I want you to move out as soon as possible. Plus, your presence is needed at your offices. Once we’re done, Kukki can start attending college.”

So Mrs Bajaj is indeed faking her memory loss. Mr Bajaj is not so happy with her plan but he still gave in! Just like Kukki even I am really eager to know the reason behind this. It was a great update Scarlett!! ❤️🤗

Ps: I enjoyed that small moment of subtle sarcasm a lot 🤣

Prerna's faking Amnesia.... Yesss.... Brilliant move.... But will be waiting to hear the actual plan of Mr and Mrs Bajaj.... Now Kukki is also getting involved with this....hopefully everything goes according to plan.... Loved Rishabh's subtle show of jealousy and sarcasm.... And also some clarification on PreRish relationship status in this story will be good... Are they like in the show, friends or they are a couple here?? Has Prerna accepted Rishabh or not? If it'll be revealed later in the story then fine no problem.... I was just curious.... Wonderful update.... 👏👏
