Chapter 10:-

Life was smoothly flowing for the Bajaj couple, unlike the Basus, who were on the verge of destruction.

Prerna was going through her book when his bold voice broke her trance.

' Aap Kya Soch rhi hain, Prerna?' he asked, putting a briefcase in the cupboard.

' Kuchh nhi...'

' But your face shows something else, Madam.'

' I am thinking how you made Komolika a part of your plan, Mr. Bajaj!'

' You don't have any idea of what can I do or what I can't, Mrs Bajaj!' said her husband, in his usual swag.

Prerna smiled slightly.

In this one month, their relationship had drastically changed. They were more comfortable with each other, much to some people's jealousy. The changing dynamics led to their intimacy and comfort.

'Yeh toh mujhe pata hai. Waise Naveen ka kuchh pata chala?' Prerna asked.

Yes, the Bajajs have began their hunt for Naveen Chandra Chattopadhyay, the villain of their story.

'My men and the police are doing their job, Mrs. Bajaj. And I have full trust on them.' said Rishabh, lighting his cigar.😎

'Aghh! Main kitni Baar bolun aapko ki all these stuffs are not allowed in home?'😎

Rishabh realized what mistake he had done. 😆

That night, at dinner table...

The Bajajs were silently eating their meal.

Suddenly, they noticed Mohini storm in the dinning room, followed by Tapur.

Tanvi- 'Ab Kya hua!'

The two Basu women sat in their seats, after giving an angry glance at the Bajaj's.

'Mr. Bajaj, can you guess why they are in such a mood?' asked Prerna, softly, almost in a whisper.

Rishabh smiled and replied,' In se hi pooch lijiye?'

'Huh?'

Prerna just finished her food when she heard a commotion outside the house.

She looked at a surprised Maasi and Tanvi.

The three were surprised as well as shocked to hear slogans against the Basus.

Mohini and her daughter stormed out.

Only Rishabh was normal, like ever.

Prerna raced upstairs and gazed down at the crowd in front of the BB, from the balcony.

People were hurling abuses and other slogans at the Basus, most of them were employees of the Basus. Press people were also there.

' Yeh sab Kya ho rha hai?' she wondered.

'The Basus are getting what they deserved, Prerna.' said Rishabh coming and standing beside her.

' Accha, toh yeh sab Aapne Kiya?'

'Yes, Mrs. Bajaj.' replied her husband, grinning.

' But... These employees.... They will starve...'

'Don't worry, they all are joining Bajaj Infragiants tomorrow only.' replied her husband.

Prerna was amazed at her husband's doings.

' Oh God! When will I be able to read his heart! ' She wondered.

Next morning...

Prerna woke up to see her husband working on the laptop.

'Aaj aap itni subah subah office Ka kaam Kar the Hain?' she asked, tightening her hair into a bun.

' Actually kuchh important kaam ke details check Kar Raha hoon main.' he replied, still focused on the laptop.

Prerna checked the time and sighed.

It was 7 am. She went to the washroom and freshened up. After coming out, she went to Kukki's room to wake her up.

After refreshing Kukki , she too her downstairs.

Maasi - ' Good Morning, Prerna.'

' Good Morning, Maasi. Good Morning, Tanvi.' replied Prerna.

Tanvi - ' Good Morning!'

Maasi - 'Yeh Rishabh Breakfast nhi karega?'

' Aap log Kukki ko lekar dining room mein jayye. Main unhe bulakar laati hoon.'

She went upstairs. Her act irked someone... Guess who? 🤣🤪

' Rishabh, please breakfast Karne chaliye.'

RB closed his laptop and stood up.

He interwined his fingers with his wife while descending the stairs.

' Rishabh! Yeh aap Kya Kar the Hain! PDA necessary hai kya?'

Rishabh smirked and replied, ' Apne Biwi Ka haath pakadna kya Galti hai?'

Prerna - Aap bhi na Rishabh!'

She giggled.

Anurag sat in his chair with a displeased look on his face.

Prerna sat beside her husband with Kukki on her lap.

'Yeh Kya soup hai, Prerna?' asked Rishabh, as soon as Chandu placed a soup bowl in front of him.

Prerna replied, ' Pumpkin Soup.'

Rishabh- ' Yuck! Main yeh nhi peene wala. I will not have something like this, Prerna!'

A cute banter was witnessed by the people at the breakfast table. Some people smiled at the banter between the Bajaj couple while the others were furious by their closeness.

Anurag was dumbstruck, agape and what not when he heard Prerna address Rishabh by his name, not by his title! 🤣

' Rishabh, aaj main Kukki ko school drop Karne ja rhi hoon.' said Prerna, making her daughter drink water.

' Par... Kyun? Main hi toh Roz jaata hoon Na..'

' Aaj nhi... Main ek friend ko Milne jaa rhi hoon... Jaate waqt Kukki ko drop kardungi. Accha Baba, aaj meri jagah

Aap pick up karlena Kukki ko.'

'Okay!' Rishabh smiled.

Kukki kissed her papa and the mom- Beti duo went out.

Meanwhile:-

'Are you sure you can do this? Remember, they are not weak people.'

' Don't worry. I will keept 24 hours close watch on them.' came the reply.

End of chapter 10.

She is showing her rights on him, not to light a cigar in home and he is giving in also. Basus professional destruction and public humiliation😈. He made sure the employees doesn't get affected and they got theirs jobs in his company👍🏼. I also want to know when would Prerna read his heart. Fingers interwined❤️. Someone in Jeolous😛.
