I said "we" including myself, coz I ship couples irrespective of their marital status if I like them. That was a separate sentence, and the next sentence had little or no connection to the one after that, about justification. Sorry if I did not make it clearer. Its rather generalizing to say shippers or fandoms justify, because what's there to justify in fiction. It's fiction! open to preferences and interpretation.
As for me, no I personally never justify it. Why would I and to whom should I even bother? What's to justify something which is believed to be true by characters of a fictitious show? The writes of this show as of today believe anurag is prerna's husband and that's what they show. Justifying or for that matter negating it is the very definition f an exercise in futility!
It's rather easy to ask, what's there to justify. I did not say, shippers or fandoms justify. What I did say, was I noticed justifications.
And going by your words of interpretations and preferences, the writer's thoughts and their beliefs can also be interpreted differently. You believe, that the writers go by Anurag being Prerna's husband. An alternative explanation could be possible.
And therein, lies the justification. Interpretations and preferences could be used to prove a point. People justify, not because they are shippers or part of fandoms, but because they have their preferences and opinions. People don't justify coz that is their preference.
What the writers show, again, is a matter of Interpretation, Like how you mentioned in your previous comment on how some things are overlooked and some things focus upon. They show an act of applying Sindoor, if one were a shipper, that act could signify completion of marriage, if one were slightly more critical, that act may not be regarded as a completion of marriage. And therein lies the intent of the writers in my opinion, to leave things open for interpretations and justifications from all corners, leave ends open, so they can be weaved along in future. If this were to be so futile, the writers would have avoided the futility, by completing it, isn't it?
