Prerna was shown as a bubbly, overenthusiastic girl in the first episode but after that they just wanted to show how great she is starting from Naveen Babu track (they have eliminated all admirable traits of Prerna in season 1 like her independence, ambition, a bit selfishness and made her into another Tulsi).

Anurag started off as a responsible, studious guy and in Naveen Babu track, we got to see he was also smart and sensible. But from Komolika and Mr. Bajaj track, they made him into an obsessive, destructive character like Kabir Singh. He had stopped studying and I don't know whether he even managed to graduate or not.

Now with his gone stubble, I hope we get to see more of initial Anurag.
