How does Award show work in India

Hi Guys! Just want your views on Award shows. How does Television award show work in India. I mean.. just saw the nomination of ITA and I was God smack with the nominee.

Ofcourse! They work hard but I felt award are nominated by looking through content and dept of the show but by looking at the nominee its shocking.

I respect everyone has their favourite and they are untitled to support their favourite but I was just shocked today by looking at the nominee.

I honestly dont watch them and follow them from long time back now..but today it was just shocking.

Can some1 explain how and why?? I dont want to degrade any actors but Parth was bor nominated my personal favourite Mohit Malik was not nominated from telly industry. What is this?

Mohit malik i don't know but I am happy parth didnt get a nomination . That's me...I don't want him to remotely think that he is doing some "great" work in this trash ! I would love to see him winning awards somewhere down the line in future when he does something better , which suits his persona and yes..something different also If he wishes...

I don't know how awards function but not everyone can win anyways...first parameter is success I think..successful shows get nominations at least...

I dont believe in award show but seeing that nominee was very surprising. I guess people have different opinion but surely my decision to not to support award show is correct.

a very generic topic for discussion not relevant to show per se... however nominations and award winning congratulatory topics can be opened in the forum .
