I like Anurag this Season compared to Bajaj but yes, for me both are like Apple and oranges,I mean no comparison.

I completely agree to most of the things you said here. It's actually silly that when both are grey characters people would actually try to nullify the flaws and say they DESERVE prerna.

Anurag doesn't deserve prerna, neither Pre deserves Anurag.

Both are good selfless people but are fools. They think sacrificing would make other's lives easier , so like a sacrificial goat, they are ready to kill themselves.

AnuPre relationship has always been toxic. It was the initial stages where they were friends was the best relationship for them.

I am here to watch Anurag and Prerna's journey but not together.

No comments for Bajaj, this season the character didn't work . There is too much of inconsistency in the story and characterization. It's a shame since ksg is such a terrific actor. Why hire good actors and then write such a bad story

charu, if we are going to talk about the one track linear thinking of these CVs when it comes to their story telling then there would never be an end to it. As I said earlier the story is pathetic because the characters actions are pathetic. In every track all the characters just act towards one linear path that the writers deem and everything else about the character is forgotten specially the leads.

Currently neither character is anything else apart from the focus on Pre as the price to be won over. Anu as a son, a brother, a business owner, the primary person responsible for his whole family in the face of his mute and paralyzed father is totally forgotten. He is only acknowledging any other relationship of any other aspect about his life in relation to Pre only.

Same with Bajaj. The great business man who goes to any extreme lengths for his daughter is forgotten while Pre has become his focus.

And Pre in this mix is just there abiding by the demands of the current episode day by day. One day she is being mother to kuki, the next four days are about taking care of Bajaj and on odd days once in a while gives a glimpse that she is a person too and has her own wishes...And Anu is the annoying fly in Bajaj's narrative, and in his lala land about his love for Pre and its all about him only in his narrative.

Thats the pattern here. That's what the writers are capable of here. So each viewer takes whatever they can tolerate from the mix and goes with it only.

Alright lets see if I can make you see why I wrote what I wrote based on your write up.

For me it came off more as a critique against Anurag and his actions which comes off highly toxic and problematic and thus questioning what is there about him that makes him deserving of Pre.

A lot of us took the deserving part to be irrelevant and only something that is for the individuals involved to decide and thus all the talk of Anurags actions seemed irrelevant to many of us.

If you were looking for people's thinking with regards to toxic masculinity then had you worded in a different way without just pointing out one person's behavior then many would have got the point I feel.

Infact many times many Anupre fans and Pre fans and even Bajaj fans have talked about how Pre has been the most neglected character and everyone here recognized that her actions are made to be just props for either Anu or Bajaj to establish who she belongs to and why. It has never been about her in this marriage.

During Anukom marriage both the girls fighting over Anu had a similar tone to it. IF we look at their clashed Anu was talked about in the same manner. But I can see why that is less of an issue because, he was also given a voice and so although the girls talked in an objectifying manner viewers can see the man himself is not treated as an object by the show itself.

This time around Pre has been totally mute and both the guys are the ones speaking for her and worse she is made to just go along with the flow based on their behaviors only without any indication of what she the person is going through and her views, feelings and grievances is given no voice. She doesn't show any emotion unless badgered by either males.

Generally if you had wanted to highlight on masculine toxicity portrayed, then many would have been more forthcoming. Because that's one aspect that has been talked about many times in Anupre At as well. During the last couple of months many Anupre fans have not indulged in serous discussions outsife the AT because it very quickly gets to Anu vs Bajaj and gets locked down pretty quickly. Only recently have there been a little bit more discussion being done by Anupre fans outside the AT. But still there have been topics made on Pre and how she as a character is used as the crunch as you are saying here in your responses.

If you really look at Pre's situation, the girl who is manipulated to think that the only way to save her fiancee from Jail is to marry a guy (nearly 2 decades older than her) with the intention to make her a primary care taker of a differentially abled preteen kid, then that is the biggest action that has treated Pre as an out and out object with scant regards for her as a person. The girls was literally crying through out all those ceremonies and it was horrible to see a woman in that state being reduced to .In front of that Anu and Bajaj talking about pre like a trophy to be won between them is really mild...Actions always speak louder than words doesn't it.

Nobody is going to argue against the fact that Pre as a woman is highly objectified in this show if we look at her current state so I feel maybe if you had really wanted to focus on Pre's status than highlight just one aspect where Pre is objectified, all of us would have had a better discussion here.

Love your points dear. TM started of making a very good point and the scale tipped on one side right away. As @charu said pre is totally muted strategically by writers and anurag is made the voice of both anupre.

Atleast anurag says that in the face right away and has laid down his cards already in table. His intensions are clear. He wants pre back in his life. No hidden motives there. What is bajaj doing. His hidden motives are endless. ( The man has the audacity to marry the woman by threatening anurag's life and reveals at his convinience that he married for a kid.) He could have come out clearly saying i wanted to strike a blow below the belt on BB and you are the collatral damage.

He is playing backstabbing game with pre by simple adding ' in want her for myself' clause in his mind without her knowledge and has cock fights with anurag.

I am in no bubble dearie, neither i am a crazy solo stan fan nor under any delusions. Ys i prefer anurag over bajaj. But this week has clearly established bajaj dark, yet we dont see post related to the likes of if bajaj deserves pre or not but since prerna had an emotional moment in front of anurag, we question if anurag is right or not. Objectification of prerna started a long time back but not by anurag.

She had a weak moment in response to his tenderness. Remember mountains r not moved by constant storm but by gentle stream tht cuts thru it. She has a connection with him, she could no more hide her pain from him when she had a glimpse of the gentle anurag who had been her friend, companion and privy to her secrets.

That boy who never defied his mother ever, have time and again negated her wishes when it came to prerna.

He pushed himself in danger multiple times just to ensure she is safe even when they were in friendzone and we r saying tht for him its all about himself. Its for them. He is seeing the pain in her eyes. He sees how dead she is around her husband. He sees how she smiles only to kuki. He knows tht she is living a lie. And eventually he asked her to open up.

Her father and his father's wish was just a reference to how it was meant to be... A burden of her father's murder which she has shared with no one and only he knows this.

And i agree he rubs in on bajaj but its bajaj who keeps the tabs. Anurag has been wronged by bajaj. Had it been business it wudnt have hurt as much but he snatched what he considered his world.

When we spk abt a couple... Its the shortcomings of both tht makes them perfect. Neither anurag is perfect nor prerna. They are both flawed and they r both idiots. They fill in the gaps of the other. Prerna provides him stability while anurag becomes her voice of reason that she subdues.

So if u still ask me if anurag deserves prerna i wud say may be... But they belong together.
