Actually, Pre was sacrificing herself for her parents home at one point.. The very first episode shows how Pre sits whole night making articles for veena's stall.. Those efforts were one of the connecting factor between AB n Pre where AB is impressed with her efforts..

Also, She has been rude to Nivi n Mohini on occasions to defend her mother.. It's just the writers don't keep her consistent.. Even in her mother's case at court, I was expecting more from her cause of the efforts she put in past for both her parents n Onu's case too.. In comparison, this time her efforts looked less.. Like she could have pleaded for her mom's case to Sharda like she did for Sharma Nivas Or even BM.. CVs do it all as per convenience...

I am happy with prerna for now. Just wish she was smarter. How easily she got fooled by Bajaj mausi.

But yeah she is getting more matured now. Also a bit calmer. Being mother to Sneha is the best thing 4 her. Its giving us a completely new side of prerna

Prerna suffers from being an ITV female lead and ITV writers usually are very bad at writing female characters.

It is interesting that we think of Pakistan as an orthodox, socially backwards country but some of the best fictional female tv characters are written by their writers- whether it's Zindagi Gulzar Hai ,Mera naam Yousuf hai etc.

I have not followed the character Prerna from the beginning but she seems to be more defined by the reaction of the men around her to her, whether it is Mr Bajaj who seems to be resisting giving in to her subtle power over him or Anurag who seems to have completely lost the plot over her moving on.

Where is the women in here - where are her thoughts of about her destiny and what she wants? even her monologue is about Bajaj.
