That's kinda tough as the CVs just change the characterisation at the drop of a hat. Bajaj has layers that is just coming Infront of the audience.
Anurag was a very sorted character before he fell in love, now he's yo-yoing - it's like my toy has been snatched, I will take her back, break her and keep her under my thumb at one point and then he swings the other way and is like she's my love and life (very realistic but too #kabirsingh). His proposition to Prerna (even though she's married) - leave your husband and family and live with me (as what? mistress, or a toy?)
Prerna wants to sail with one foot in Bajaj boat and another in Basu boat - you can't have your cake and eat it too. Absolutely! This has prolonged the drama with Anu. If Baj is her man for life, itâs well and good, why string him Anu along with lies? Heâs like a dog with a bone refusing to let go as he knows sheâs not telling him the truth. It raises the question if their âloveâ was real at all. The person who walks away can dust their hands off and move on bec they made that choice but it is not so easy for the one who is left stranded without the truth. Maybe over time Anu can move on. But if itâs in his nature to get to the truth, heâs not going to let Pre off the hook so easily, prolonging his own agony. Why is Pre reluctant to tell Anu what transpired between Baj and her that led to her leaving him on the day of their wedding? Does she want to protect Baj, not want Anu to know her husband blackmailed her into marriage? CVs have made her helpless all the time - she's either getting victimised, kidnapped or propositioned. That girl hasn't had a chance to breathe.
Bajaj - past hurt, child who's the apple of his eye, ruthless business man, family man - he makes no bones about it. The attractive thing about him is that he owns his flaws and actions - this is me, take me as I am, I'm not changing, I'm not a people pleaser. He's respectful - he hasn't touched Prerna, his indecent proposal was - marry me, I have the keys to your lover's life - take it or leave it. He gave a name to the relationship. Baj has respected Preâs physical boundaries but not without insulting her first (he can find other women for cheap if he chose).
Sorry for parsing here, but words have specific meaning in context. Blackmail is not an indecent proposal by any means. Blackmail ruins lives. Blackmail holds threat of painful consequences though it appears to be an simple offer (accept my terms or else the other has painful consequences) while indecent proposal is an offer that gives the other a choice to take it or leave it. Case in point, last week Anu made an indecent proposal asking Pre to move into BB. She could refuse, so the only painful consequence would be for Anu.
It wouldnât have been blackmail had Baj asked Pre to marry him for his daughter right off the bat...that surely qualifies as an indecent proposal given that it was on the eve of her wedding.
To make Bajaj look more mature and sorted, they are turning Anurag immature - which is very sad. A parallel growth story of all three would have been nice.
Apologies is this post hurts sentiments.
