I was wondering amidst all this crap... what if Prerna gave him this deal?

The Deal... Reprised

Prerna's come to BM after Basus are finished.

"Mr Bajaj, will you marry me?", she uttered, nonchalantly.

"I beg your pardon?", he asked, bemused.

"I said will you take me as your wife"

"And why would you think I'd do that?", he asked, now enjoying the absurdity.

"Cause I think I'd make a fine trophy in your shelf, the greatest mark of defeating the Basus", she said, teary eyed.

"And why would you flung yourself out like that?", he asked after much thought.

"So that you suffer in my pain, alongside me. So that I can see my miseries reflected in your own eyes, as I perish bit by bit, in the wait of union with my sweet lover"

"I'm afraid you shouldn't have revealed that at this juncture. Anyways, that's meagre poetry, infact a little short of that too", he said mockingly, before leaving.

"I'm sure you'll be back", she muttered under her breath as she looked on, her eyes not entirely devoid of hope.

"I know you'd come", she said, her voice echoing in the painfully empty Basu Bari.

He handed her the thaals of Shagun and sweets.

"But, I have to tell you something", he said.

"I... have a child. She's six and is mute".

The place fell eerily quiet.

"Fine then, I accept you along with your child", she said, unaffected. He smirked, out of fascination and admiration.

"I have to tell you something too", she said, sitting on the floral bed.

"I'm pregnant, with Anurag's child"

He was taken aback.

"What if I just throw you out right now?", he said, flushed and taken aback.

"You won't", she said smilingly.

"Cause there couldn't be sweeter happiness for you, tomorrow - as you announce the takeover of Basu Industries - with me by your side", she said, whilst extinguishing the lamp and tucking herself to sleep, leaving a flustered man on the other side.
