He did ask the question. Prerna degrades herself to answer that question & Anurag processed all that rant in a completely different way. He processed it as if Prerna was challenging him, calling him on his incompetence & failures. And that's where Anurag slapped her to shift the burden of his own failures, incompetence on Prerna. He satisfied his ego for the while but there he crossed a very fragile threshold, he wasn't supposed to. That slap & the rant on how he will achieve Prerna even though he actually came to believe that Prerna as a gold-digger was a display of a narcissistic Anu. He reduced her to a mere trophy he must win at the end for his own ego to prove that he is not a failure. That's a narcissist at high-spectrum end.

Question is that they show somless of ksg that losing interest by the day in this show.

Reruns are not supposed to be boring unless badly executed .

Pride and prejudice has been done so many times, but it is watchable everytime.

Problem is that i do not like the main leads except ksg.

Had liked erica in the previous show, here she is completely different.

Serial is too serious with no cute or light moments other than bajaj dialogues which kind of echo our thoughts , he did say that whole basu family talks rubbish.

His face said it all when he told prerna to be calm and she shrieked at him saying how can she be calm when her anu is injured.

I agree that they should tone down the melodrama & focus more on Bajaj individually. Till now Bajaj has been shown in reference to Anu or Prerna. I want to see him in his individual capacity more. It's about time that they reveal his back story in bits & pieces. I really hope they haven't scrapped the revenge part here.

And there lies the problem of the new viewers who arrived with Bajaj. This show was phenomenal until he arrived. Even Komo didn't make a dent in the real love story.

The show was not even in top 10 for many months 😆😆 it was in news only bcoz of comparison with season 1. And became number one because of Komolika death and then received second highest TRP because of Prerna Bajaj marriage. haters accepted or not but after Bajaj entry the show is always in top 10 and getting good TRP.

There wasn't much regret or guilt on his face either after the slap. Even when he slapped himself - I was like, is that how you have slapped her?

The characters had ruined long back but now they are becoming sick to watch. I can't imagine Anurag and Prerna together. Not now. Not in future.

Having said that, i hope i can freely express my thoughts on Anurag's slap here. Contrary to what you have written that it is his ego that led to the slap, what i felt is that it is the pain seeing Pre degrading herself for a man like Bajaj that led him to slapping her. Atleast that's what i could sense from Parth's expression at that moment. I will not go by the dialogues that was given to Anu after that to make us believe that he has taken whatever Pre said on its face value. Because, from today's episode and the upcoming spoilers it is clear that AnuPre will be acting as pendulums in the hand of the CVs. So, i am not giving any importance to this Swiss track. Also, i have not believed what Bajaj told Pre in yesterday's episode that, it is not to destroy Anu that he married Pre. It may not be the only reason; But IT IS A REASON. To me, Bajaj is still that shrewd business person who was shown in the initial episodes. And i will not go with his words, until the real story starts when all 3 are back in Kolkatta.

I agree that Swiss track is looking like a mere filler, setting base for story in Kolkata. Swiss track so far has highlighted a different shade of each character-

Bajaj- his own skewed morals & principals in business but he has a threshold he wouldn't cross.

Prerna- her self-destructive mode for the sake of love, a masochist kind of personality that takes all pain but doesn't react.

Anu- the narcissist & obsessive self who crossed some thresholds.

As for Bajaj, I wouldn't want makers to uncomplicate him so easily, the beauty of his character is complex personna. I want to see more of this character & his back story & I hope we get that now. They should tone done the melodrama & not make a pendulum out of Prerna.

Exactly. Narcissistic people don't regret even when they are at wrong for their acts. That's what Anu was today.

This Bajaj blow was necessary to this relationship because otherwise they wouldn't see anything beyond love.

For now, I want to see Prerna growing to put herself at priority & not run for others who can't value her. I don't want to see any romantic pairing as of now in this show.
