Today's episode was all about this.

A woman who degrades herself in front of a man she claims to love only to make him move on. She puts a facade on her face & doesn't allow anyone to see through. The romanticization of sacrifice & haunting silence as the only way to prove true love seems to have etched deep in her mind that she refuses to see beyond it to the extent that she finds herself deserving of mental & physical pain by her lover even at cost of herself. She doesn't react to the slap from the man but smiles at it as a deserving reward for her actions.

A lover who buys that facade despite having adorned that facade not so long ago for his love. He contradicts himself when he says that what he with Komo was for love but fails to see through the facade of his lover beyond her words. He fails to observe the pattern of the events & read face of the woman he claims to love. He seeks verbal explainations from her, not remembering his own situation. On one hand, he seems to doubt Bajaj but on the other hand he fails to believe his heart that iterated that Prerna couldn't do this. But atlast the words coming from the woman's mouth make more imapact over his own conscience that believed otherwise. Last time, the woman failed to see through the facade & righfully so because she couldn't think of something like this but this man not being able to see through it makes it bigger because he has suffered this literal hell once. He took the same decisions to protect his loved ones, while wearing a facade & suffering alone.

True test of love is not in happy times & togetherness, it's in separation & anger. Anger brings a dimension that can be easily masked when everything is under control but a real person can be seen & identified only in his/her anger which comes to fore when things are out of control.

Anurag's anger & slap didn't come from Prerna degrading herself or chastizing him for a reaction of absolute hatred. It came from his own failure to having not been able to see through the woman he thought he knew very well. The frustration at his own failure & incapability reflects in his slap. It comes from being proven wrong. Anurag is known to have reacted like this before once on Nivi when she questions him about his failure to not inform her about Bajaj & Anurag angrily retorted with how could Nivi do anything when he failed to do anything with all information at hand. That scene highlighted his ego. He doesn't like to be proven a failure or to be questioned on his capabilities. When Prerna talks about how she did it for money, Anurag sees his own incapability & failure through those words. His ego played a dangerous power dynamic where he ends up he slapping her. He slaps her because subconsciously he thought "how dare she". Prerna didn't slander him directly but indirectly Anurag saw it as a slander against his beliefs & his capabilities. Anurag's mind processed Prerna's self-degrading words as a humiliating challenge being thrown at him. That's the flawed Anurag beneath the charade of a gentleman.

Somewhere, his own trust about this woman has been taken over by what he has been hearing about this woman for long from people around her- her mother, her sister, Naveen, Komo, Ronit. Till now, he had rejected it because she was there in front of him presenting a contrasting picture to what all those people said. But now when it comes directly from her mouth, he fails to understand the difference & takes it at face value. He is so immersed in being betrayed & narcissitic self that he doesn't recognize the woman behind her facade & the woman doesn't intend to help him in realizing the real self behind the facade.

Ideally, this is normal for people to fail & see any reason when they are betrayed because human behavior is fundamentally flawed to keep itself at the center of everything that happens around & do profit-loss even in worst of the situations. But, when the ideals & standards are set high, anything less becomes absolutely unacceptable.

Both Prerna & Anurag have been impulsive when it comes to saving the loved ones. But Prerna doesn't get frustrated at her family but Anurag is thoroughly incapable of handling multiple things together & his own frustration.

A healthy relationship demands communication but it also demands understanding of the silence as well. Sometimes, silence is the biggest answer one should seek after.

The toxicity leads to unhealthy obsession & vice versa. Anurag is so immersed in Prerna's taunting words that he doesn't want to achieve in life for himself or because he should or to prove her wrong but because he wants to gain her as a trophy. The lover reduced his love to a mere reward he deserves to get after his success. There lies the toxicity that has turned to obsession & the obsession will lead to futher toxicity in Anurag & this extreme may unknowingly push Prerna away from him to a man named Bajaj who she may find stable after some time. Anu's impulsiveness & Bajaj's calm demeanor will be the reason for Prerna getting attracted to Bajaj's calm demeanor & stability after some time.

P.S- Shoutout to Anupam for being able to see pain Prerna is in. There is atleast a man who noticed something unusual.

Fantastic post. Nothing more to add.

Keep up the good work. U have understood each character perfectly.

Really wish they had made all characters grey from the starting. Which is actually how normal ppl really are. Linking them to God's and what not unnecessary created too much pressure on them to be goody goody. Now when they r getting butchered ,its a sorry state of affairs.

Once Bajaj is butchered, it wld be final goodbye. Hoping against hope it's not gonna happen

Actually it's surprising when we fail to see the saintly characters with flaws as well. We live in a country where we have had healthy debates on actions of our Gods for example on Krishna's role in Mahabharat, Pandavas role in Mahabharat, Ram's role when he sends Sita away. We have those debates even today. We have mythologies shows to help us dive deep into them. We find perfection amidst the imperfections in our Gods who showed the shortcomings of the human nature to highlight the fundamentally flawed nature. That has been the beauty.

Me too hoping the same about Bajaj. Never saw this show before his entry.

I may leave the show when he is ruined but here are some fantastic FFs that will satiate my curiosity to read this man & his arc with Prerna & other characters.

I loved Parica in their previous shows. They were well written. This one is simple mehh. But Bajaj has got good deal so far which may not last for long since I don't trust the writers.

Even I didn't see Kzk before Bajaj.

Finally! Thanks for making this post.

Good one.

Now it makes me wonder can it be termed as love? I see no proper communication n now no understanding too when it is most required. She had given him enough clues before marriage. Knowing his character he cud have analyzed it like how he did with Bajaj's statements.

Both just want their togetherness which I dont see will serve any purpose apart from lengthy promises. Both just behaving on the spur of the moment. Typical teenage stuff IMO.

As I said in AT, Bajaj is another reason for their seperation and not the only reason. If not Bajaj, anyone wud have easily done that job in future and their relationship wud not have lasted for even few months.

Agreed.

Bajaj's entry highlights the shortcomings on both individual's part in their story, something they could have not seen when they were together.

As someone has pointed out earlier, AnuPre like the idea of being in love but don't know what it is.

I think maybe Kasauti is about them growing to learn that only over time. But till now, they have not shown them learning from it but repeating things turn by turn. Atleast last season was about this. I don't know what they plan to do in this season.

well analyzed and you have said it all⭐️ !

- Love doesn't guarantee trust and understanding , I think the entire set up of Anurag Prerna Bajaj will show a classic case of young boy in love alone vs a man with who adds other dimensions like trust, friendship, understanding, respect, maturity and stability . Prerna will witness both sides ...

love alone cannot stand against the winds and tides.... but a young boy's love is all about love
this is how Anurag is portrayed .. that he loves .. dil se but then cannot see the pain in her beloved's eyes , while a 3rd person , Anupam could see it ...love makes one irrational

love cannot be the base of a pyramid .. imagine a pyramid (A) with love as base...add understanding , trust. friendship , respect above it ... and another pyramid (B) with understanding/trust as base add friendship/respect/love above it ... the love sustains the storms because it has a strong base ...when you understand a person or trust a person .. the entire pyramid will be strong ... while the pyramid A .. everything is based on that one brick of love with no trust/friendship/understanding ... it's a shaky base and everything will be tossed ... I will call .. pyramid A - Anurag Prerna's ... which started off as love and they tried to add other things but then the base was shaky ...proven twice .. and pyramid B is for Bajaj n Prerna.. there is no love, their relation will start with understanding .. friendship trust and love at the top .... it will sustain any storm .

Anurag's failure to see Prerna's lies or her pain is because of the pyramid A .. and I have nothing more to add about Anurag as that love for me without a strong base is like a pack of cards...

- Prerna .. I infact liked the way she lied to him, I repeat again .. Prerna is crazy .. she is mad (as in junoon) in a way .. ..she has this junoon type , kar guzarne ki zid and inner strength ...alongside being very immature, impulsive and hyper ... she had the strength to lie to him, she is crazy that way .. and also that smile after slap was like ok this is working .. she was proud of her self that her antics are resulting in her favor... and Anurag is hating her ... hadh se guzarne ki zid .. she could have broken down and confessed why she got married but she held on ...and lied and lied and lied ...but the lover couldn't see through it and pal bhar mein pyar nafrat mein badal gaya ..

but this immature, impulsive side of hers will be countered and balanced by Bajaj's calm demeanor and stability ... and then there's no looking back !

Excellent post👏 Nothing more to add!

There is no doubt that Anurag and Prerna's love for each other is true, but their trust issues and lack of communication is the biggest reason this couple won't survive in the long run . We all know Anurag and Prerna are going to get married somewhere this year end, but that marraige won't survive because these 2 do not communicate!

I am not even going to comment on that slap. It was pathetic !
