Letting everyone yell at her about the dhoka to Anu soothes her in a way bec her guilt is stifling her. At this time everyone sees her as a heartless selfish girl. Rather than set the record straight she’s beating herself up internally for what she did helpless to save Anu. She feels she deserves the scolding.
RB sees Anu as a pet project he decided to toy with. He talks to his new wife like she’s a call girl . Man must really think he’s God’s gift to women. He is still a dark shadow. No amount of whitewashing will make him a gentleman. He demeans his wife within hours of marrying her. He’s adding insult to injury.
For all his shortcomings, Anu is a better man by any measure than RB.
