Media does play a powerful role in recent times to maybe shatter some myths or preconceived notions but human behavior is human behavior . we do always seek for hope in the hopeless . Granted life is not black or white and has shades of gray but the light seeping thru the gray is what keeps hopes afloat for if there is no hope there is no point in waking up everyday.

I agree with you that human behavior is fundamentally flawed and a one dimensional being sees things just as black or white not Gray but isn’t gray a light passing thru a white or a black?

Agreed. It's the persepctive that classifies people. There are very less people who live in black & white because our lives lie in shades of grey. It's a different matter that our own morality often makes us think in absolute black & white terms even when morality too is relative. Grey characters are all about that relative morality.

As for people falling for tall, dark & handsome, well this is not changing & media has less to do with it. Human mind is drawn towards intriguing things since it makes them curious & darkness has always been intriguing, especially in human behavior. Add to it the empathy of some people that makes them want to help others in need like sociopaths, narcissists & others because they believe that they would be able to change them. It doesn't come from media but their innerself that is capable of seeing hope in everyone no matter how hopeless the cases are & ofcourse these people suffer only because of this hope.

I believe shady characters teach much more than one-dimensional positive characters about the true human nature that is fundamentally flawed & often dwells in the grey throughout their life time.

Reality of life. We get the biggest blow of life when the dear ones show their real face. Woman are always weak in choosing life partners. I am too a woman. So no bashing pls. Men are selfish and play according to the situations. Biggest lesson, its not enough to be good in character but should be smart enough to survive in this world. Narcissists often identify the target well that is empathic people. Latter ones are the ones to suffer the most. It's not just about women. Men also fall prey to narcissitic women. One should have a healthy balance & control over their pragmatism & emotional quotient to survive successfully.
