But this partiality is very jarring , they most time don't even give dialogues to Prerna ... and as AnuPre fan I am speaking It's irritates me most , because all I see is Anurag invested in this relationship nt Prerna .

There is some serious issue here , either tech team is purposely modulating her voice or some has given her just wrong advice on voice modulation because of which in crying and fast dialogues scenes her speech goes unclear .

I totally agree. Prerna's character is not focused properly

From what I can understand, I see that prerna was a well-written character last season and people easily relate to it when the character is well defined which in this season is anurag

About erica,though her dialogues were a bit off in crying scenes in the first couple of episodes, she has turned it around now.

And I feel they have been simply "trying" modulations of her voice to reduce the huskiness with the very little dialogues she has been given. It sounds different in every scene recently

Also her character has been "overloaded" with crying emotions. It really needs to change

On the other hand, if she can connect to it, she is phenomenal. It was clearly evident in the confession week. Nevertheless, her expressions have always been to the point. Nothing less nothing more. She is indeed a very good actor and brings out little nuances in her face

And I have also felt people look for the same charm with which prerna was portrayed by shweta. But erica's portrayal of prerna is different and unique in its own way and the character itself is different from last season

The meaty role,the heavy dilaogue delivery is always Anurag's. One thing that disappointed me the most was the scene when Shivani was in hospital and Prerna tries calming her down. But as usual it is Anurag who succeeds in actually doing it. It is ALWAYS Anurag. Every single thing. It frustrates me. Everytime I think this is Prerna's scene, the whole dialogues and responsibility of making things smooth is always given to Anurag. Now that can't be the actor's fault right. I feel like the only reason why Prerna is there in the serial is to be Anurag's love interest. Someone he can always SAVE. Why can't Prerna save herself!? Why is it always ANURAG. Okay. Macho hero is fine. Okay the female lead can't save herself from goons. Understandable. But it's her sister that's in hospital. She is knows Shivani since her birth. But it is Anurag who manages to convince her. Why!? As Erica's fan this show is so depressing to watch. She is hardly given anything to do. Pure disappointment. I just don't get the favouritism. Why rope in such a good actress with such good fan following if you want to show bias?

It looks like even though ekta posted supporting erica for her different voice,she ordered cvs to let anurag take the charge in aupre scenes. I am really pissed with ekta for her double standards. If she thinks her voice is out of the ordinary then she should let it be than cutting down her dialogues in scenes.

I think Erica is not suitable for OTT drama shows ...even before kzk2 started I had that feeling that Erica cant do too much drama and rona dhona and my gut feeling came out true...usually all SP shows are overdramatic ...there isnt any subtlety in any of SP shows ...KRPKAB is a proof ..anybody can see her acting in that..I think Sony Tv usually shows subtle shows which caters to urban taste unlike SP ..so channel differences also matters ...KZK and Kuch rang pyar ke are poles apart in every aspect.

I agree. Subtelty, little nuances and being real are her strengths. Unfortunately she can't use any of these in this drama. I love her crying scenes sooo much though. There isn't that overacting and drama in it at all. Yesterday for example..

i just think Erika was way way better as sonakshi in kuch rang pyar ke. even better than Shaheer sometimes. Here in KZK she is not upto the mark with her acting. could be also how she is being directed

Agree. But she isn't as bad as she is being called. She is still so good with her expression

EricaFernandes is brilliant actress she is doing brilliant I can say she is only tv actress who cry look real and ERI is natural actress she act natural so some people who watch Ott acting Never understand it being regular viwers I can see ERI is grown as actress and my mom she never cry seeing tv FL but she get emotional seeing prerna

Im glad this topic was made. Coz I felt the same. Im yet to go through this entire thread: But here are my few cents:

On Erica as Prerna- There is honestly no connect I have for Prerna in this new season. Not comparing, but stating that Prerna in season 1 was a far better written and acted character. This seasons writing is all over the place. And terrible direction too.

INSIPID is the word that comes to mind when I think of this seasons acting, direction and chemistry. Their is no relatability, no genuineness, no effort. Everything is about the grand Basu house sets. There is little thought put anywhere else.

I think Erica was far better in her previous show where the character was understated and not over the top. She didn't have to scream/ shout/ shriek every second episode (here she had to in most of the Naveen kidnapping episodes and all the times Anurag has been injured). Her weak dialogue delivery REALLY COMES ACROSS in these moments and the emotion she is supposed to convey goes for a toss because the focus is on the lack of clarity of what she is saying.

Even in the confession episode- I found her really lacking. I have seen FAR BETTER confession episodes on ITV. Considering they have a decently looking pair- I would have expected much BETTER but alas. These characters just did not sell it to me. Even the director on the sets and the writer seem to be pretty lacking in effort. Im sure with better lines and direction, these characters could have delivered far better.

This being said, I don't think Parths acting is eons better either. You have to see the confession episode from his previous show to understand what I am talking about. Again, that character was far MORE better written and better directed. You felt each and every word of the characters journey. Here, not so much. The confession was so Ghisa Pita IMO. Parth has done far better work as Manik.

All in all, this show- I had decent hopes from it but it has really disappointed me as a viewer. I haven't watched all the episodes but the one I watched- have left me with- WHY AM I WATCHING THIS?

PS: A good example of how terrible the writing/ direction is the recent rain romance in the show. This was their first ' romantic' moment post declaration of love and OH MY GOD was it Pheeka or was it Pheeka!? There was no continuity, terrible editing, the dancing was SO Random, and the characters were not being themselves. Usually moments like these are the high points of a show- here it was another random moment to be quickly forgotten.
