Todays episode upset me slightly because it made me realise that actually however much we love Prerna and Anurag and think that Parth and Erica are going a great job, there is nothing we can do to change that they are never going to together and may never even confess their love for each other. We kind of already knew the story even before the serial started.

My moms tells quite a funny joke about cinema from Kerala.

Imagine a typical climax scene in a Indian move, the hero is standing on one side and there are two villains on the other. One of the villains has got a gun and is going to shoot the hero.
If this is a tamil movie and the hero is rajinikant, he will put his hand up as the bullet comes towards him. This will cause the bullet to split into two and each half will take a U-turn and go and hit the villians and kill them. All ends well and there is a beautiful song by A R Rahman that we can hum to.
If this is hindi movie, the hero will make a speech about how "mere pass maa hai". Then as the villain shoots the evil uncle who until then has been acting against the hero will jump in front of the bullet and save the hero as an act of repentance. Again, all ends well and maybe there is a Badshah song at the end that we can all dance to.
If this is a malayalee movie, the second villlian will rape the hero's sister and she will commit suicide, the mother will die of cancer, the hero's girlfriend will marry the villain or his brother and then the villain will shoot and kill the hero. The end.

As a person of Malayalee origin I feel well equipped to watch this serial. Bring it on.

The joke exaggerates!
I don't live in India, so I only watch movies that my mom is anyway watching and they are good but tragic!
Nowadays I think the movies are more influenced by Bollywood.

Wow what an analogy..
Savage.. 😉

But I have never watched any malayalee films.. Is it that dark??

I have watched kzk1 till Anupre's children was small.. So I know I just used to watch just for this hope that someday they will be together.. But then I stopped... Then I was a child too.. So got distracted easily..

But it's really amazing how kzk2 episode can uplift my mood one day and make me sad another day..I don't want to get involved too much but I am just because of Parica..
Let's see how long I will be like this..

Guys don't take me so literally. I meant that in malayalee movies good things don't always happen to good people and the heros don't always win in the end. I just shared an exaggerated joke to lighten the mood around the tragedy of our lead couple never getting together rather than have an existential discussion on about malayalee movies. Obv Tamil moods and Hindi movies are also not the way they are described in the joke. 😆
