There were lots of things I liked about the episode - things that I even thought were perfect.
Anurag's reaction to the Prerna truth was actually just appropriate. Not because I think Prerna is stupid unlike some of you. But because the flashbacks sort of explained the reaction. He has always known there was a reason other than love. Prerna has even told him its the reality of her life, its her majboori etc. Saying it may be love today was his frustration. So Shivani telling him the reason must almost come as a relief. The real shocker will be when he finds out (if he does) his mothers role in all this. That bas***d Naveen would take advantage is just what he expects from Naveen.
I loved how Prerna causes confusion by thinking the person in the room is an illusion and not the real Anurag. How he get irritated because obviously he doesn't know shes always dreaming of him. He anger and frustration with her was also so justified and what any friend would feel. All of that is so real and authentic.
Even the Naveen and Madhuri scene was necessary. It explains why Naveen is treating Prerna differently from Ronita and other women has cheated and why Madhuri is helping Naveen. This backstory was necessary.
And now the final point. What killed something in my love for this serial today.
Prerna's reaction to hearing Anurag say Naveen tried to kill him. I get that the writers are showing that Prerna's love for her family is blinding her, that she realises that Anurag cannot see her as a bride, that she has realised that her feelings for Anurag are clouding her judgement. I get all that. But no girl or guy who is falling in love with someone or already in love with someone deals with the news that someone may have tried to kill them the way Prerna did today. NOONE. I have always tried to find a reason to justify things the writers have written for Prerna. But I cannot justify this. This blip was unacceptable.
I only hope that they correct it somehow in the next few episodes. But today, that scene, finally they killed it for me.
