Pyaari Prerna

In the movie Parineeta, Vidya Balan's character asked Saif Ali Khan what's the point in telling my father owes your father money. All you will be able to do is take money from your father and give it to me. Anurag is very far from that Saif character (who was a bit of a spoilt brat) but in many ways he cannot help her other than by taking money from his father (who is the first person she called) or his mother (who could not make it more obvious she dislikes the Sharma and Prerna).

I know people are going gaga over Anurag's dialogues and so was I and I kept watching the scenes again and again but what was sticking with me was not Anurag but Prerna's face. She looked so lost today. She is stuck in this crazy situation where her brother won't help, her father can't help and she is getting married to a man who makes her skin crawl to help her family. Her friend keep putting pressure on her but he cannot help her and he keep talking about an affair that he cannot prove. And now she has realised she has feeling for this friend who keeps telling her he feels nothing for her except an deep loyal friendship.

Prerna's sadness and helplessness is haunting me.

Today I actually want to say to Anurag - SHUT UP. I know you are probably acting like this because your own emotions are making you irrational. But if you care about her so much (even as a friend, as you say right now) then help her. Stop acting irrationally and get proof against Naveen and take it to your dad. Stop shouting at her. Stop telling her not to marry him when you can clearly see there is something else going on. Just help her.

Prerna's conflict and confusion was depected so well today! The writers have done an amazing job in capturing that and Erica has done an excellent job in portraying that. The girl is going through SO MUCH! She's getting married to the man she HATES. Her family is under the threat of being thrown out of their house if she doesn't get along with the marriage. And then Anurag comes up to her telling every second not to get married and there is hardly anything she can do about it. She is so happy about the fact that she has a friend in Anurag but she can't just do what he is asking her today thereby failing to be a good friend. And then she realises she is starting to have feelings for her friend who clearly told he has nothing of that sort for her but behaves exactly contrary. And then there is that sister of hers who keeps putting the idea of falling in love with Anurag every single second. Anybody with so much going on would just COMBUST.

i must say i.m more angry on pre comeon she can tell this to somebody pls tell pre tell all ur problem to anu .

I know Anu's intentions are noble. But he needs to CALM DOWN! Each time she talks to Naveen Babu, he can't drag her out of the conversation. She will.go mad with this constant session of don't marry him, him being around her 24/7, helping her out, doing things that confuse her and denying he has feelings for her. Phew!

I am loving how Prerna is being enacted since a few days. Conflicted, confused, helpless, adamant, jealous and SO TIRED. Kudos to Eri!

Thank you so much for this beautiful post . Much needed one . On every SM , it's only Anurag that is being discussed, appreciated and not many seem to care about Prerna . I too like Anurag but all this manhandling is so not my taste . ITV audience really seems to find it hot and I saw many girls on TT going gaga over how hot and manly the scenes come out . Like come on !!!!! Manhandling is so wrong and even more when the FL has even mentioned its hurting her and making her uncomfortable!
Like you said I was also so taken aback by Prerna's lost face , her fighting with so many feelings and her face in the precap made my heart ache too . I can feel how helpless she is in this situation.
Erica is portraying Prerna's state so beautifully. Loving her performance so much these days !

The end DOES NOT justify the means. And Anurag really needs to calm down. Right now rather than being an oasis for her he is just another source of pressure.

@bold: THIS.. I had been wanting to see this state of Prerna because that gives some scope for her character change in the given situation.😃. And I am loving how Erica is portraying it so beautifully..

I don't know what the precap is all about.. But I would like to see it focused on her outburst maybe without revealing the truth.. But overall her conflicted situation.. And hope that calms down Anurag from his restlessness.😉. I can't weigh one over the other.. My heart goes for both given the situation.. And I am loving how the focus is completely on them..😳

I am also hoping for that. I am not asking for a long scene but just a short scene where Prerna is able to express her feelings of confusion and frustration and feeling of responsibility to Anurag. And he actually gets it rather than just pooh poohing her brains or her emotions.
