A thoroughly regressive show

From Kuch Rang Pyar Ke, where the initial storyline was unique in certain aspects, we ended up here again with the typical saas bahu natak in KZK2.
Why do we continue to garner the this aspect after we've had shows live Sasural Genda Phool, EHMMBH, IPKKND, Kulfi Kumar Bajewala and even YRKKH where this is not the primary focus. Star Plus had said they moved away from that: Rishta wahi, Soch nayi".

I cannot find this "nayi soch" in this. I feel we have regressed back 10-15 years where this was the common layout of every show:
- mean saas
- good sanskari bahu
- greedy family members
- taking every situation to extremes
- Old guy/ dirty intention.
- yet to come vamp/ other women

I thought this story would be better telling of the original especially since the bar was set low at an IMDB rating of 2.9/10.

If this continues I expect we will see the typical we shall soon see:
- kidnapping
- memory loss
- reincarnation
- leap so the children can repeat the same story.

The Actors and even the directors are doing a pretty good job BUT the story should also needs an update. If we can keep telling the stories of Ramayan, Mahabharat, and other religious stories differently each time to suit our tastes even though the facts are the same why can't we do the same with fiction.

Also, nostalgia that the show offers can be a good thing but it only goes so far. For example, Dus Ka Dum was a failed season this year.
Good luck to cast and crew and hopefully, the over the top drama gets a rest and fresh quality emerges.

I completely agree. I did not watch any other serials but yes I watched Kuch rang and i felt that was very realistic show. Sonakshi was a positive character and not a sacrifice devi. She knew how to take stand for herself and fight for the right thing. We could relate to her. But Prerna - nobody would ever do wat all she is doing. Ekta's shows are completely unrealistic with so much over drama.

I believe if she would continue with the same misunderstanding, plotting and planning by villains, sacrifices and rona dhona by Main leads, people would not love to watch the show. Ekta should understand that main leads even after good human beings can fight against wrong, take stand for themselves and still can be winners and happy. They do not have to keep shedding tears all their lives even after 20-40 years leaps. Today's generation would not be able to relate to this.

Remember first few episodes with OTT drama like fire scene and AnuPre holding and trying to prevent the hefty Canopy from falling.
I am sure it gave all of us an idea that this serial will have lots of unbelievable elements of heroism and insolences.

Watching it only for Parth and mainly because I want to divert myself from KRPKAB.
Have seen KRPKAB's episodes on YouTube like countless time and it's high time I should invest on something else.

Parth looks promising and I hope he gets some sense to this show !
