Believing in your mom if she is Mohini

India is a country where both through genuine love and strict societal norms, families are very close to each other and there is a real hierarchy in relations - parents, sons, daughters, daughters in-law. And both movies and TV serials have tended to portray this hierarchy and closeness is the best and worst light. Sometimes even in a caricaturist style. The evil mother in law, the bitchy sisters or aunts, the sacrificial daughter, the sacrificial daughter in law, the weak men... always the weak men.

And yet I have noticed a marked change in the last few years. Yes families are still shown as close but no one pretends that the imperfections don't exist. For example in Erica's last serial her husband may have sacrificed everything for his mom but not because he didn't know she was wrong or selfish or manipulating him. But because he loved her unquestioningly inspite of that.

This long boring speech of mine is to say that I really really hope this serial does not have the male lead blindly loving and believing his sister and mom even when it is obvious to everyone else (including his dad) that they have faults. I don't think I can handle a stupid and blind male lead and frankly Parth is too good looking to be wasted like that!! Ha ha ha!
