If portraying a bubbly character is difficult then I would give 10/10 to the girl playing Anjali.
I would any day choose her bubbliNESS over the FL of Kasauti 2.

Comparing Erica with Kareena is a bit of exaggeration. Such bubbly and chirpy expression comes naturally to Kareena while the former tries really hard.

Also each one of us who is pointing out the flaws in Erica's acting have nothing against her personally.
All I feel is she should have done a lill bit of homework and tried to perform better in terms of acting as compared to her last show before taking up this challenging role.
Prerna in part 1 has raised the bar quiet high .

You spoke my mind. I think the writing on this show doesn't support Erica as much as Kuch Rang ... did (before they changed the writers, that is), so she is taking a little time to find her bearings. But people should understand that these episodes were from the first schedule. Now that she is getting feedback, allow her a chance to show she is going to use that.

It's not about putting her down. It's more to do with constructive criticism. If she would just slow down her pace and pronounce the words clearly then most people who are criticizing her today would stop criticizing her.

Like I have said in other threads...this is my first time watching Parth and Erica on screen so I'm willing to give her a chance to mold into Prerna's character. I understand there is a lot of pressure to play such an iconic role. I personally would give her one to two months tops. After that if she doesn't improve her diction then she won't have my support.

But just bcz her dialogue delivery is bad she's not proven as a bad and terrible actress with zero acting skills. But here some people are constantly saying she's bad, she need to be replaced. I hope they give some time.

I watch her previous show also, she isn't very good in initial episodes but day by day she improved ...

I only just hope all of them give her some times , ek definatly has some reason to cast her.

well said! No matter how crappy EK shows become after a point she is always good with her jodis so we shud trust her...so im happy about these 2 being anupre. As for erica im loving her expressions just a tad bit improvement in dialogue delivery..she'll do wonders after that.

Stepping into the shoes of an iconic character is not easy. Having said that the show and character is 4 days old. The leads were not chosen without auditions. I never watched parth before but I like the pairing. Im not going to judge him based on a few performances. With time all will get into the skin of the character. N still if you find her acting intolerable you can always change the channel. I believe in giving every1 a fair chance.

Thanks for this post! Erica is actually a great actress, she was brilliant as Sonakshi Bose however that role was a bit restrained and very subtle compared to OTT bubbly Prerna which is why I think she's uncomfortable in doing so. I'm a huge fan but yes I do see that she needs to work on dialogue delivery as Prerna, but once Prerna loses that bubbliness (as if when the Kasautii starts) Erica will improve because that's where her strength as an actress is - those subtle scenes. I also think the writing isn't helping her much since she's a copy - paste of other Kekta bubbly leads whereas Parth has gotten the better role here (since he isn't the typical angry young man etc)

To her critics - give her time, Erica held her own against an actress like Supriya Pilgoankad and she herself praised her a lot, she's definitely going to improve and I hope the writing improves for her character as well. Since the show does revolve around Prerna.
