Best part about original kasauti - there was no social media to poke nose. Watch it and forget. Now a days people don't know the difference between real and reel. They start abuse session with actors if they don't like the characters and even actors keep themselves busy talking with faceless trolls.

Having said that, there were many blunders which remained unclosed forever. Bajaj's kaands were worst than komolika, but they never bother to expose it. He was a criminal, they tried hard to wash him with Nirma and present him completely white. To some extent they succeeded as there were many prerna-bajaj shipper.
This time Ekta is surviving total on nostalgia that she's going out and bringing all well known faces for every character. All she needed was more expressive Prerna and less expensive komolika.
And kasauti was not about tragedy. Shweta and cezanne failed to differentiate their personal issues and professional priorities which turned it into something else.
