As some people have already pointed out, Mr. Bajaj was probably the first anti-hero in Indian TV serial world, He did a lot of shady things but he still managed to not fall in the black category. He was vindictive and manipulative without being sleazy. Ronit Roy brought the complex character to life. He did a lot of frustrating things, but we just couldn't hate him. Also, from what I remember, Anurag from KZK1 was a good person but he was spineless. Bajaj on the other hand never lacked a spine. He never wavered in his decisions and was steadfast in his support for Prerna.

Komolika was very stylish and entertaining in all her villainy prowess. We hated to love her and loved to hate her. It was amusing how she used to kaan-bharaao all the characters to create tamasha.

Also noteworthy are the dialogues given to these two. I feel like the writers gave the best lines to Bajaj and Komolika and Ronit Roy and Urvashi Dholakia delivered them perfectly.

I don't have high hopes from this season, but I still wish that they don't miscast and butcher iconic characters like Rishabh Bajaj and Komolika.

People loved kmolika because there was no-one on tv back then to be such stylish diva. Urvashi started wearing strapless blouses modern sarees which became rage with that heavy makeup. In Indian wedding women started copying those bold blouses. Even bw heroines weren't wearing such blouses. She dared to have different haircuts which included boy cuts. She changed the fashion game forever

moreover such scheming vamp was new thing on tv. U know kmolika wasn't bad first it was anurag who failed his marriage. Yes she got married to him but it was anyrags spinessless who couldnt take stand for prwerna.

She wanted his love. But he married her and didn't touch for a year. he Always chanted prerna prerna. So people had sympathy for her first.

Bajaj was first anti hero on tv. All these gul Heroes is r just copies of bajaj. He was anti hero he didn't need to manhandle female lead. He got what he wanted. N ronit Roy aced it. Big time.

Komolika was stylish queen in that era...fashion queen...she dare to bring change in style statement n set a trend...she was never a negative character in the beginning...thanks to anurag and his spineless nature with prerna jaap made her negative and also she was queen of vamp...plotting n scheming as hot season those days...she is still remembered till now...a legend...except for prerna whomever anurag marries...the ladies becomes a vamp komolika...aparna...sampada...i used to love komolika-indraneil banter...they are hilarious togther

coming to Mr Bajaj...he was the first anti hero...he was the first one to set the trend of anti hero that now other production houses copies...another anti hero was sujal from KTH...gul heroes are inspired by bajaj and sujal...rashmi sharmas shows are inspired ksbkbt n kggk...Mr Bajaj has does stuffs that he should not do but we just can't hate him at all...he was dyamic..anurag being spineless never stand or support prerna...he listens to his mom n sister alot never stood for prerna omce while Mr Bajaj supported her in her tough ties and even gave her daughter his name..sneha-bajaj were iconic father-daughter duo...i just ove their scenes together be it the little sneha or jennifer...furthermore RR brought life and soul into the character...he brought the character to a different level that its difficult to find an actor playing this dynamic character Mr Rishabh Bajaj

2. Even though Prerna and Bajaj have misunderstandings and fights at time i always feel they both respect each other and their relationship😳

3.But Prerna Anurag relation was like, every time Prerna got hurt because of Anurag, he doubted her, never tried to understand the truth before accusing her and i feel there was no respect and trust between them.May be love and friendship was there but it was always like taking each other for granted!!even we even lost count on how many time they slapped each other!!😆

4.Yes another reason was the BG music, BG song and dialogue of prerna n Bajaj.Which made their relation even more beautiful ❤️

5 .I love the way how Prerna calls him Mr.Bajaj

6.Ronit and Shweta just nailed these characters and gave life to these characters..You cannot at once feel there can be any one else who can play Prerna and Rishab those days.Once scene you will not find once scene where you are not able to connect with these characters.👏.
Cz was also good as anurag but the writers messed up his character and we felt he was spineless😕

KZK 1 discussion made me nostalgic.
Every character had their salient features yes anurag failed many times when he was supposed to trust prerna but I don't remember any scene in which he slapped prerna. Did that happen? If yes then tell me that episode?
Basic difference acc to me was when Anurag Prerna were together, Bajaj led the soil of mistrust between them
On the contrary when Bajaj- Prerna was together, Anurag helped them in sorting differences. Otherwise Bajaj equally, rather more doubted prerna when they were together.

I am very sure you are mildly confused at this point reading all the different view points regarding Anurag-Prerna and Bajaj-Prerna, to be honest this was one of the main essence and a big reason for the longevity of the show. I don't think anyone here would disagree that the show was extremely OTT and by the time it ended had lost a lot of its charm and fann following, but in its heydays Kasautii Zindagii Kay (1) was a trend setter. One can always argue whether the trend it set were good or bad for Indian television serials is another story altogether.

As far as I am aware, Mr.Bajaj's character was initially not meant to stay in the show for that long because in the beginning, he almost came off as negative. He turned positive later on. If you look back at KZK1 now then you can call him a grey character but when he first entered, he was borderline negative. The reason why Bajaj and Prerna ended up with so much screentime and story was because Shewta Tiwari and Cezzene Khan literally hated each other and they had some issue on sets to the extent where it was being reported that they couldn't stand each others presence or even look eye to eye. It got to a point where it was difficult for them to shoot scenes together let alone any intimate scenes or romantic scenes. This was the reason that Prerna and Anurag actually never had much romance in the show after the initial phase. It was just a whole bunch of pain all throughout. As far as I know, Ekta said in an interview that "Kasauti mein bohot DARD hai". That "dard" was because her leads didn't get along so it extended the lifespan of Prerna-Bajaj and created extra pain for Anurag as it was easier for Shweta and Cezzene to avoid each other or do scenes where they are arguing. Came naturally to them.

Kasauti was a trend settler.

if only there was internet back then shweta and cezanne fans wouldve killed each other. shweta called cezanne kutta on candy floss. also shweta cezann affair, shweta ronit affair, urvashi cezanne affair, cezanne geetanjali affair. every1 was sleeping around each other during that time. golden days of tv ful time gossiping lol!!!!!! urvashi also leaked cezanne's audio tapes i read somewhere lol
