Ekta Kapoor gifts friend Shabbir Ahluwalia the lead role in her new show

Those who are close to Ekta Kapoor will agree that the producer is extra concerned about her friends and that she also loves to pamper her actors.

"I admit I do so but I don't let my affection for my friends interfere with my work," she says. "What's important for me is the character in the show. If I think a particular actor suits the role I sign him. And if that actor happens to be a friend, then nothing like it!"

This time, Ekta gifted good friend and actor Shabbir Ahluwalia the lead role in her new daily show, the working title of which is Kis Rishte Se. "Shabbir is apt for the role. When I was briefed about the character I realised that the role was meant for him," says Ekta.

And Shabbir is glad. "I'm looking forward to playing my first ever lead role in a show. Living up to Ekta's expectations doesn't scare me as my own expectations are higher," he says. The actor is in the process of losing a few kilos for the part. "It's a positive character, something that I'm not used to playing on television," he says.

The word is that Kis Rishte Se is inspired by the book Arif. "It's very loosely based on Arif. It's a TV show and will require loads of alterations and changes," says Ekta.

Apparently, Kis Rishte Se is a story about two step-sisters and the two men in their lives. The actor playing the second lead is Karan Wahi from Remix. "My team has already started the pre-production work on the show. It should to go on air by Dussehra," says Ekta.

The serial will be aired on Star One. However, the hunt for the two leading ladies is on. "I'm looking for two new faces. We have also tied up with Bajaa.com to help facilitate our search," says Ekta. She has also roped in film script-writers for films to write the serial. The show will have Ronit Roy playing a younger character in a cameo.

I LOVED yesterday's episode- it was so thoughtful of those people to show such a great episode featuring Ronit and Smriti= it was too good for words- I was sooooo excited all the while that I just couldnt 'bear' the breaks coming in between! LOL! Anyways, NEHA! You are a point-stealer!

I was gonna write that knight wala thing in my post just before I logged off and you wrote it~!LOL! Thanks for that as well-more than the coat scene and more than the sword scene, I loved the scene where they are climbing down the temple stairs and she stumbles upon him. He looks at her and asks through his eyes whether she needs him and before she could say anything, he took her hand into his sooooo lovingly and then escorted her down mid-way before she took her hand away!

awwwww that was just too good for words- and yeahhhh Ronit was looking wayyyy toooo hottttt when he removed the coat- he was wearing a similar shirt when his room caught fire- but he looked KILLERLY hottt..my my my it's gonna take SOME time to get outta this episode for sure!~

Okiz so summing up-

1. He dashes his car- opens the door and pulls Tulsi in-
2. Sword scene- **FAINTS**
3. Off to Cave- Tulsi stumbles- he helps her and takes her hand into his!
4. Coat scene- Sexy to the core-Shirt!!! Mann his neck 😳 😳 😉

I Loved the dialogues too "Maine sab kuch jala diya, lekin vo aag bhi utna hi pavitra tha-jaise hamare phero ke waqt tha, tumhe us pal se, hamari shaadi se koi vaasta nahi" TOO smashing!!!

And during the end of the episode when he just said 'mat jao tulsi' Goshh Goshh sooooo AWWWW!!!!

This episode is ALL into me- like they say... 'rag rag me sama jana'..LOL... I dont think i can get out of it anyday- This is just so special!!!

Just before the 'Sword' thing-

Watched the repeat Just to fall in Love with it all over again-
I Loved the Lil "Shiv Mantra" that was played for em when they were entering the temple with all stumbles, and helping, gazes n stuff- It was Just so heavenly-

And the music just before the song 'tere bina' wen he went ahead and put his coat around her and later wen she came n gave him bak his coat...it was simply sooo good-
Cudnt help notice How Babyish he looked while climbing down the temple steps... he kept giving those baby looks to her- 😳
And Im SURE wen Tulsi comes to know that he isnt married to meera.. she'll forgive him- she was just so hurt wen he got that call from meera!!!!
Goshh I Love MT- what Love yaar!!! **PURE**
