His is one comeback that would go down as one of the more dramatic ones on the Indian screen, big and small. From a teenage heartthrob who "lost his way" after the mega success of Jaan Tere Naam to the biggest thing on the small screen, Ronit Bose Roy has been there, done that. And he now has almost "every television award in the last two years" to show for it.

"I have certainly learnt to handle success better than I did last time around. At that point of time, I hadn't taken my career all that seriously. Those wrong moves had put me out of work but this time I am aware of what I am doing," says Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi's Mihir, with a confident smile.

Ronit doesn't mind admitting that his life has witnessed a complete turnaround after his exploits in Kammal, Kyunkii… and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. "Not only has it got better for me materialistically, the love I have received from everyone has been amazing. They hug me, kiss me, even worship me — I couldn't have dreamt of all this a couple of years ago."

Now the former assistant editor at Mukta Arts (he plays a brilliant cameo in Ghai's Kisna) is planning to direct his own venture. "It will not be something on television — it has this stagnancy factor, which has me playing three different lives at the same time. I would direct a film some day — I am still learning the craft."

And if ex-co star Rituparna Sengupta's acknowledgement of "Mr Bajaj" when they shared the spotlight briefly on Thursday was anything to go by, Ronit is learning his craft really well.

did u catch bajaj on yesterday's kzk episode!he was ULTIMATE!!!!!!!!
u should have seen how his expressions change and how wonderfully he
changed them when first prerna refused to go with him and later when
she agreed to!
RONIT roy always does manage to give that "oh!i love u so!" look to
ALL his female co-actors!honestly!(well.....one of them does'nt
reciprocate too well-TULSI!!!!)
and then a eye-candy for all bajaj fans and yeah maybe prerna fans
also-
that's right!the dinner scene!
just a brief update of that scene......i cant stop myself-
well,
bajaj is drinking champagne while prerna sips on a soft drink.bajaj
just keeps looking at her SO SO SO romantically(i'd almost
fainted...he's GR8!)prerna wonders how to tell bajaj abt anurag.
p-mr.bajaj(he focusses on her....)mr.bajaj,main aapse bahut zaroori
baat karna chahti hoon......hamare zindagi me aise bahut raaz hote
hain jo hum kisi ko bata nahi sakte kyunki woh khud kisi aur ke rehte
hain par main aaj aapse wada karna chahti hoon ki chahe zindagi mein
kitni bhi pareshaniya aaye main hamesha aapka saath nibhaoongi!
bajaj gives a very sweet smile(uff!) and holds her hands lovingly.
then stupid and idiotic ONU BABA calls on prerna's cell.after she
hangs up, bajaj asks her who it was.....as many times he asks her she
tells him that it was no-one.bajaj leaves the topic and sits quietly
sipping on his champagne and then pata nahi kaha se akkal aayi prerna
ko, and she held his hand. he just stared with love and disbelief at
prerna and then slowly lifted her hand to his lips and very
passionatley......kissed it.
(then there was a flashback scene showing all gud moments b/w prerna
and bajaj)
and then the scene ended with bajaj continuing to kiss prerna ever so
lovingly!

Did you always want to be an actor?
A: Yes,but its been a long journey getting to where I am today.I have done a gamut of things,to bartending to washing dishes to advertising,then Jaan Tere Naam,my first film happened.But my TV characters are what really got me noticed as an actor.
What gives you more satisfaction,television or films?
A: I see no difference,An actor is an actor,its his work that counts.
Q How do you rate Rohit as an actor?
A: He is a much better actor then I am.Ironically its me who discouraged him from becoming an actor.He is intelligent and hard working.I had always picturised him as an buissnessman,I even warned him about the speculative nature of this profession,but he puts in a lot of effort,which is why he has come so far today.
Q And as a brother?
A: I see him more as my son,rather then my youunger brother and yes,I pamper him a lot.
Q: Will you continiue in television or venture into films again?
A: My objective is to do good work be it on television or films.I have no qualms of doing films as long as the role and the script is good.
Is there any sibling competition considering you both are in the same profession?
A: I dont see us as competing in the same race.We are in different age and character brackets.

A: No,I always wanted to be behind the camera,but a few ads and tv serials came and I began to enjoy acting.
What gives you more satisfaction television or films?
A: Theatre,television,films and ads are all different media,each being a stepping stone for the other,but films offer more to an actor.
How do you rate Ronit as an actor?
He has grown as an actor,since he has joined television.TV provides an actor the best training ground,in terms of camera angles,lightingetc.His potrayal of Rishab Bajaj is fabulous,there are some scenes,which bring tears to my eyes.
And as a brother?
Our is more like a father-son relationship,Our father died when we were quite young,so Ronit always has been the protective elder brother.
So he wasnt the Bullying big brother?
A: No.He never bullied me,bit if anyone else doing so,would have had it.

Coming back to Kuch Kehna Hai Mujhko, Reva decides to step out and get back to work when she meets her old friend Ronit 'Mihir' Roy who's a big time producer. ''In the show he is like Ekta Kapoor and he asks me to direct a serial for him. They are old buddies. She has to convince her husband that she wants to rediscover herself but that her family is her first priority and will always be,'' Pallavi adds.

1.THE POWERFUL PERSONA

A.ronit roy as rishabh bajaj in kzk.he is magnetic and his personality spells power. forget his glycerine wastage on prerna.

B.apurva agnihotri as armaan suri in jjkn.his power impact is all about his attitude and of course, power dressing.

C.saakshi tanwar as parvati. surprisingly, in an ekta soap she stands as a powerful woman n actually dominates the screen. i think its her face.

D.shweta kawaatra.wicked but her imposing persona actually makes u love to hate her.

E.monish behl.his intensity is his forte. he even beats rahul in now no-longer-interesting sanjivani, sigh!

F.mouli ganguly, her eyes are the centre of her intensity and she actually has wonderful screen presence n am glad she's gotten rid of hideous kkr.

G.gauri pradhan, again, this woman has massive presence not only due to her height and nymph like looks but also due to her attitude.

H.rajeev khandelwal as sujal garewal. just one word-lady-killer. the onl reason u can bear kth.

J.urvashi as komolika, i'm still wondering why men are stuck with her over-made eyes but let's admit it, her screen presence even gives prerna a complex.

K.nausheen ali sardar, rondu-pondu projection but she overshadowed everyone in kkusum , thanks to her amazing screen presence.

2.THE CUTE-ROMANTIC-AFFABLE-WARM PERSONA.

A.hiten tejwani as karan virani/pratham mittal.naturally endowed with cute looks n an affable persona. no wonder gauri fell for him.

B.jasmeet walia/jassi-she is cute n loving n endearing even with her stupidities n her armaan-addiction.

C.juhi parmar as kumkum-she exudes warmth n the typical miss. goody two shoes look .

D.hussain as sumeet. i think the ideal husband look is tailor-made for him n i think he looks n acts the best with juhi only.

E.sumeet sachdev n riya as gautam n damini- very cute, slightly boring but still endearing.

Bajaj's love confession for Prerna!
hi all,
here's a special one-scene update for tuesday's kzk.............and
the one scene is none other than the one b/w bajaj and prerna.just
check it out...............exclusively 4 ronit and bajaj fans who
were unable to watch it!-
prerna is upset and standing near the window. birju kaka comes with
a cup of coffee but prerna refuses. he keeps the cup near her and
leaves. bajaj is passing the spot when he notices prerna. he goes
near her........looks at her...........looks at the
coffee..........and slides one hand on prerna's shoulder. he hands
her the cup of coffee and turns to leave. prerna stops him and says-
"mr.bajaj........aaj anurag aaya tha..........woh mujhse maafi mang
raha tha.........poori tarah se toot gaya tha woh." she looks at
bajaj. the expression on his face completely changes and it looks as
if he's thinking of the consequences if prerna forgives anu.p asks
him what's wrong. he says "kuch nahin", gives her a weak smile and
leaves. prerna follows him.
bajaj goes and sits on the terrace bench. he says-"phir
se..........phir se meri kashti sahil aane ke pehle hi doob gayi!!
aakhir kyon?!". he sheds two-three silent tears. p comes and asks
him what happened. he quickly hides his tears and tells her that
something hurt his eyes.
p- mr.bajaj, jab aankh mein kuch chubhta hain to dard hota
hain.........nami bhi aati hain par aasoo tabhi aate hain jab koi
baat dil ko chubhi ho.
RB- aisi koi baat nahi hain prerna.......
p- mujhe pata hain aap kya soch rahe hain mr.bajaj (she comes and
sits besides him)........yahi na ki main anurag ko maaf kar doongi
aur hamare dil saaf ho jayenge...............nahi mr.bajaj, maafi se
dard kam nahi hota.mana ki anurag ab bhi mere dil mein dard bankar
rehta hain par anurag par aakar meri duniya khatam nahi hoti
mr.bajaj. uske aage bhi meri ek alag duniya hain aur usme aapki kya
aihmiyat hain shayad mujhe kehne ki zaroorat nahi hain..........par
haan.........agar sabdo mein kehne se aapko farak padta
hain..........to main aaj kehti hoon mr.bajaj (she takes his hand in
hers.........he covers her hand with his)........meri zindagi main
aapke siva koi nahi hain.........koi nahin.
mr.bajaj just cant believe that PRERNA is saying all this. he looks
at her oh-so-happily, oh-so-so-so-romantically and then slowly lifts
her hand to his lips and gives it 4-5 small,,passionate kisses. he
looks at her (omg!!!!!!!!!!!!! he's just SO HOT!!!!!!!!!) her hand
it still at the same height. he gently strokes her hand and looks at
her and gives her the exact feeling of how much he loves her+how
much he can care 4 her+how much he needs her and her support.
prerna's eyes r glistened..
p- main aap ko kya sahara doongi mr.bajaj, jabki poori zindagi aapne
mera saath diya hain.............aur meri beti ka.
( she breaks down at "beti") RB takes her securely in his arms and
tells her that sneha is alright and promises her that he'll not let
anything to happen to her. he consoles her further. she tells him
that this time she wishes 2 completely trust him and has full beleif
on him. he holds her closer. she cries.
there's a "kya pyar karoge......." song in the background and he
continues to hug her protectively and lovingly

Ronit's first epsiode as Ishan Masand:))
Rewa and her family find out that it was because of
pammi's mum's complaint that rewa went to jail. Anita
calls pammi about this and pammi is very angry with
her mother and tells her off. Rewa tells anita and
pammi about her night of horror. Pammi then apologises
to rewa as she is at fault. Rewa apologises to pammi
saying she didn't know uday was priya's brother. Rewa
is worried about what nishchay will say when he
returns.

Nishchay comes back home and everyone is tensed. He
asks to talk to rewa alone. Rewa is worried but
nishchay jokes about the whole thing about how its
cool to go to jail, and he hugs rewa and tells her
everything was alright now as he was here.

Nishchay calls rewa the next morning and tells her
that they were going to zia's party (zia is the writer
that rewa knows from college). They arrive at the
party (pallavi joshi looked very pretty here i think)
and zia tells rewa that she has a surprise for her.

Sonali sees rewa and makes a rude comment about rewa
having a lot of guts to come to the party after what
happened.

Nishchay and rewa are dancing and nishchay as usual
gets very romantic. They pause for a while. Rewa is
standing alone when someone calls out 'Indu'. Rewa
turns around and her face lights up when she sees
Ishan (who is ronit roy as everyone knows by know!).
They do one of these 'secret handshake' thingees and
hug. Nishchay watches this unhappily.

Nishchay comes and introduces himself. Ishan does too
and nishchay recognises him as the owner of 'krishna
films'. Ishan says that he is indu's friend from
college, and nishchay corrects him saying that she was
rewa now.

Sonali makes one more sarcastic comment about how rewa
has all these contacts..zia, ishan.

Zia comes up and rewa and her start to tease ishan
about all the girls he used to flirt with. Rewa says
that he always used to run to her when the girls got
serious. Ishan calls rewa his only girlfriend.
Nishchay is not amused by all this and feels left out.
Nishchay leaves and ishan invites rewa to coffee the
next day.

In the car nishchay asks rewa about ishan and she
tells him that ishan is 'champu' the guy rewa had told
him about.

Next morning there is a card and chocolates from ishan
inviting rewa to coffee.

At the coffee house, rewa asks ishan about some girl
(guess its his wife) and ishan tells her that they
were drifting apart and their relationship was on
hold. She then asks him about his two nephews who he
had adopted after his brother's death. He tells her
that they are working with him now. He then asks her
if she remembers the play she had acted in and
directed called 'kehna hai kuch mujhko'. She does and
he tells her that he plans to make a serial based on
the concept. He tells her everything is ready but he
needs a director. He offers her the job. She is
shocked.

Nishchay, Sikand, Raman and anita's hubby are having
coffee at the same place when raman points out rewa
and ishan. Raman comments about how ishan was knows to
be a playboy-type.

Nishchay goes up to rewa and ishan asks him to join
them. He declines. After a while, rewa asks nishchay
if his meeting was finished, and they leave together.

In the car, rewa teases nishchay that he was jealous
of ishan. Nishchay says he was cuz she didn't tell him
she was out with him today. Rewa says she told tanya
to tell him but she probably forgot. Nishchay comments
about how ishan is known to change girlfriends often,
and rewa says that they're just really good friends.

Rewa tells nishchay about ishan offering her the job
and nishchay comments about it would be hard for a
woman to direct and what would she do if she failed.
Rewa is hurt. Nishchay while sleeping wonders why
ishan had returned after all these years

I am an actor and I'll go wherever I get good work, Ronit Roy tells Roshni Olivera

From a not so successful film career, to bagging the best actor's award on television... it has been an interesting journey. I did not have a good innings in films. My getting into television was not a major career decision, either.

But, it has worked well for me. I have always maintained that I am an actor and I'll go wherever I get good work. Whether it's a film camera or a TV camera that does not affect my work. I have no such complexes that the TV medium is smaller than the film medium because I really don't think it's any less than cinema. It is as big today if not bigger.

What about the period before television happened to you?

That was a phase where I had no work, no job and was living in a rented house. I had bills to pay and there was no money. Luckily, my family was with me and there are a few others who've stood by me through thick and thin. It was difficult. But somehow, things just moved. I am a lucky guy. My lifestyle didn't change even then. God's been very kind to me.

Are you choosy about your roles now?

I can't describe the response I have received from people. I never thought I would see this kind of fame in my career. Right from little kids who love me and call me Mihir uncle to 60 year-old women who appreciate my work. It's overwhelming for an actor to have that range of an audience. I'm not really choosy, but I am careful about the kind of roles I take up. I don't want to disappoint my audience. I believe it is very difficult to get an audience for an actor and once they come to expect something of you, you should not let them down.

How do you view the saas-bahu trend and the general tendency for serials to keep dragging on?

I don't see why a serial should stop when it has a huge audience. There may be complaints at times that they drag a bit, but nobody is perfect. A little bit of slowdown is fine. Infact, it's good because it is soon followed by interesting twists and turns. A soap is a slice of life on television. About the saas-bahu trend, that has worked. I'm not an expert on the subject. But as long as it's working, it's fine.

Tell us something about your impending marriage with girlfriend Neelam Singh.

Yes, we are getting married on December 25. We met four years ago and hit it off well. My first marriage was annulled about 11 years ago and I have a lovely daughter in the US who's in touch with me.

Why do you like him- most of all his kind of love for prerna,his cool
attitude and temperament and his loads of confidence he oozes from
his eyes his body language and his well spoken words.I like bajaj
bcoz he is so crisp mentally and looks fabulous and oh so handsome in
those suits as well as in those silk gowns.the way Ronit Roy has
potrayed this character,he has come much above the script.no doubt
the concept of bajaj was of Ekta's but he has bcome so real on screen
that even if you dont like Ronit you will like bajaj.his body moves
like bajaj,his eyes emotes like him his words are of bajaj,he thinks
like him and what not..................bajaj simply rulz.
what do you want to see in him extra-more depth in his character,more
of his softer side,more confessions of his love for prerna oh soooo
hot tears with his rock like persona simply melt us(how prerna gets
spared).I dont want him to see in asscociation with komo or subroto
for those things which he can do himself far better.such light weight
characters dont suit his company.
what kind of bajaj fan r u-I am simply bajaj addict.for me watching
tv in prime time means having a glimpse of bajaj in kzk.no other male
character has bowled me over like this before and may be not in
future.so many i like in terms of acting but a kind of euphoria bajaj
has created,very difficult to overcome.
what u will do if you ever see him-get awestruck for a while,then
will try to collect myself and will remind myself that he is Ronit
Roy not the character of Rishabh Bajaj whom i love so much then go to
him greet him and tell him that he is simply superb on screen as
bajaj and just bcoz of this aura of him we will keep watching him in
other serials also provided he keeps our expectation alive and last
say good luck to him.
if u enter kzk any day-I dont want frankly.but yes if i cud get a
chance then let prerna realise about what the real man happens to be
and when a bajaj is all that MEHERBAN(in true sense of course) on you
then why to look here and there simply take a plunge.all good luck to
a female like prerna who is loosing such a precious time of her life
by befriending(only)a man like RISHABH BAJAJ.we love bajaj to no
