Actors moved in groups with their serial co-stars, with the Baa Bahoo and Baby team being the most boisterous and enthusiastic of the lot. One of the relatively recent entrants on Star Plus, the serial seems to have picked up well, garnering with 20 plus nominations. Sarita Joshi and Deven Bhojani, the Baa and Gattu of Baa... emerged the most popular characters of the evening.

Apara 'Savita' Mehta, who was recently euthanised out of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi after a five plusyear long stint, got the Star Achievement award presented by screen son Mihir. A visibly moved Apara went on to make a long speech talking about the popularity of Savita amongst fans of all colours and hues across the globe (truly, that's some revelation!) -- "Indian, black and white". But the award for the longest speech goes to Manish Goyal, who bagged the Best Pita award for the role of Tilak in Bhabhi.

The monopoly of Kyunki... and Kahani ... seemed to have decidedly weakened with Kumkum and Baa, Bahoo Aur Baby cornering quite a few honours. Kkavyanjali's tough luck on TRPs got reflected at the awards list too.
