Sikandar Kharbanda, who used to play Indraneil in Kasauti and Gitanjali Tikekar aka Aparna of the same show, are planning to get married this year. We spoke to Sikandar to find out their 'Jab We Met' story.
Ex-Kasauti stars to tie the knot!
Sikandar Kharbanda, who used to play Indraneil in Kasauti and Gitanjali Tikekar aka Aparna of the same show, are planning to get married this year. We spoke to Sikandar to find out their 'Jab We Met' story.
Sikandar says, "Actually everyone thinks that it all happened during Kasauti but when we met on the sets of Kasauti we only used to greet each other casually. Our friendship actually developed when she left Kasauti. We started meeting and hanging out. She used to call me when I was out of town for my Bhojpuri films and we used to chat and all."
He adds, "After a year or so we realized that it is not just friendship as our relationship was going very smoothly. Then I thought that she is the one for me so like a normal couple I proposed her in a very simple way. It was not at all filmy type. Everything happened suddenly but she immediately said yes."
So when are you guys getting married? "We are planning to get married this year. We have not fixed any date as I am busy with my Bhojpuri projects and she in her shows. Both of us have told our parents about it six months back and they are cool with it. Everything is very smooth and normal now."
Sikandar and Gitanjali initially denied their relationship with each other. However, now the couple is all set to tie the knot. Gitanjali is doing Karam Apna Apna and will enter Jersey No 10 very soon. Sikander will be seen in Balaji's Gabbar Singh, which is the Bhojpuri remake of Sholay.
Ironically, the show because of which they met is going off air soon.
