Shweta Tiwari had to undergo a Lasik surgery recently. After the surgery the actress has got rid of her contact lenses. Shweta's contact lenses were becoming an impediment and were giving her much grief, so much so that it had started affecting her work. On several occasions she had to stall the shoot to attend to her lenses, until she met Dr Himanshu Mehta. Dr Mehta who performed the Lasik surgery said, €œAfter the surgery, Shweta's myopia has been cured. Earlier she used to wear thick glasses, and then she started wearing contact lenses. After the surgery she is able to see without any external aid.€

After her break-up with her husband Raja Chaudhary, Shweta has become incommunicado. We tried asking Dr Mehta about how she came across and what her mood was like. Dr Mehta preferred to restrict his response to her condition post-operation. He said, €œI never ask Shweta about her personal life. But she was visibly happy after the surgery as it was something that she needed to attend to. She had a tough time maintaining her lenses, and couldn't prevent eye infections and sore eyes.€

Lasik is a type of refractive eye surgery performed by ophthalmologists for correcting myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. The procedure is generally preferred because a patient recovers fast and is less painful, overall.

Thanks Anishma..

So did Shweta really break up with Raja... i thought they talked and settled their issues... It seems she really did leave him.... So sad, i hope she manages well on her own...
