One of the most lovable couples of television is going to die soon. Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan, playing Karan and Nandini respectively, in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi for more than five years now, will meet a gory end in the show.

Karan and Nandini have been most popular characters with the viewers. They have contributed to the show's TRPs in a big way for five long years. And now that Balaji has planned a twist in their life, it has to be grand. "The episode that will show the end of the couple will be a one hour special episode. That particular day, Kayamath won't be aired just to make way for the special episode. Now, creative team of Kyunki… is burning midnight oil to make the episode as spicy as possible," says a well placed source in Balaji Telefilms.

The couple are slated to meet with a fatal accident. The only hitch is that the creative team can't decide on how the end will come. "Most probably, they will fall from a cliff. The shooting for the grand episode is happening today. The episode will focus on the Gokul Ashthami celebrations in the Viraani house. It is likely to be aired on September 12," adds our source.

However, Hiten Tejwani was clueless about the recent development. "I don't have any clue regarding this. I don't know whether I am going to die in the show," he said. Has he planned to quit the show? "I have no such intentions. The show has been running successfully for such a long time, and I love my character in it. If I did not like it, I would have quit long back," he added.

Ekta Kapoor, the brain behind the grand success of Kyunki… leaves no stone unturned to give a new twist to the storyline. She always tries to spice up the show to keep the viewers glued to K-shows. After the shocker of Tulsi's death followed by Gautami and Ram Kapoor's entry, Karan and Nandini's death will give the much needed boost to the show. When contacted, Ekta said, "I am not confirming this, nor denying it."
