Kasuatii, like many other 'K' serials, has also taken a leap of 20 years with seven new entrants and old characters getting into a new garb altogether. There is also a make-over for some characters who have new characterizations and different kinds of roles to portray.

Take the case of Prerna. Earlier she was all for love, but now she is all against love. It is the same for Vikas Sethi aka the rebellious Prem. He will now fight against Prerna to bring back love. Interestingly, the role is almost like what Shah Rukh Khan portrayed against Amitabh Bachchan in Mohabbatein!

In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan tried to bring love through the three actors who portrayed the students of the Gurukul. In Kasautii, Vikas would try to bring love back through the six new faces introduced recently. These characters play granddaughters to Prerna and also a part of the Gurukul

"Prem would stand against Prerna, as he now believes that Prerna killed his dad. In the fight against her, he tries to bring back love, which Prerna hates now.

So yes, it is a bit like Shah Rukh's role in Mohabbatein", reveals Vikas, "The character even continues to love Devaki a k a Teena Parekh and still longs for her." This too is similar to Mohabbatien where Shah Rukh loved Aishwarya!

So it seems that now Ekta Kapoor has run out of ideas and is busy stealing stories and characters from hit films (countless 70s films, Devdas and now this) ! This also appears to be the perfect formula to raise TRPs and drag serials with a new story altogether. (SAMPURN)
