Wow, my respect for Ekta has grown treble-fold!! And by respect I mean my incredulous disbelief at her skills of airlifting whole stories, plots, themes and background music 😆

Hee! You got to hand it to her, if you're going to shamelessly "borrow" plots at least borrow them from the classics. Thinking about it I see lots of Shakespearean parallels too 😆 😆

I was just about to say that!! But then there's no surprise - Shakespeare can hardly be called original 😆 He was a great pilferer of story too!! Desdemona-Disdemona, anyone? 😆 (he basically "borrowed" the story of Othello from another play called The Black Moor, in which the Moor's wife's name was Disdemona! Only the Moor's name was not revealed - that was Shakespeare's invention!)
