It's official. Hiten Tejwani aka Karan Virani of Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi fame will play Anurag Basu's character in Kasauti Zindagii Kay, after Cezanne Khan left the show as well as Balaji.

When contacted, Dorris Dey, creative head of Kasautii said, "We have chosen Hiten because he is a good actor and at the same time very popular. We are confident that he will play the character of Anurag Basu well."

What about his screen chemistry with Shweta Tiwari? "We can't talk about it now. Only after shooting starts, will we be able to say something. Both are good actors and will do wonders as they have done in the past," she added.

Hiten, when contacted, said, "Yes, I have been offered the role of Anurag Basu, and I am game for it. We just had a formal meeting with the production house and the shooting is yet to start."

How confident is he acting in another serial that takes a generation leap? "I am already doing one serial, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, that has taken a generation leap and is still a big hit with the audience. Kasauti has also been very popular, so I don't have problems with acting in another generation leap."

Did he like Kasauti… as a show? "I am always so caught up with work that I am unable to watch even my own shows. So there is no question of watching another daily soap."

Cezanne Khan

How different will he be as Anurag, which is synonymous with Cezanne Khan? "Well, he is a good actor and played the character successfully for a long time. But, the creative team told me that my character will be different. I am yet to figure out how different it will be as the shooting hasn't started. But, I will play Anurag's character in my own way."

So, is he slowly becoming the next big thing as Ekta had earlier predicted? "I and Ekta have had a good relationship for a long time. And, I am happy that she trusts me a lot with her projects," he added.

Yeah hiten is definitely a good actor guys but replacement is something which is always dislike by viewers, though how popular actor is not even replacing.. the fact is that we are so used to watching cezanne as anurag, so hum ko hiten ki habbit kaisey lageygi, infact many of hiten fanz oppose this decision of hiten, gurpeet replaced rajeev, nothing worked for KTH, ppl still watch it for amna, KAA main rajeev is replaced by YASH, look at the TRPS, no one likes this change so how hiten going to justify with anurag character, he will do his job, thats it but the interest of the ppl will deffo not gonna be same.

Ekta is very tricky, she is using the advantage of good terms with Hiten, he is really a sweetheart 😡

Ekta just want to run kzk, thats it..

I know Celina what do u mean, Cezanne was the best as Anurag, its not like hiten cant play the role but its like we cant imagine anyone beside cezanne playing this role!

what so this hiten is finally taking anurag role,yaar yeh ekta is mad, pata nahi is serial ka kya hogah! 🤢 🤢

and 20 year leap,is it necessary to take yehi sara fasaad ki jer hai..u r right madii,hiten gonna do his job thats it but we fans will not like it much..but kzk is right now in my ignore list,i want cezanne pakistani serial to happen soon 😃 😃

Hey guys Srk was soo cute in KBC 3!! I really really enjoyed the episode, I was soo feeling pissed on anurag behaviour today, leken KBC ney sari bharaas nikaldi. Ahh sharukh was really so cute!! I really really enjoyed the game..

Oye what these people have done with kasauti!!! Anurag ko maar doh, poor character is being reuined now a days!! Whole devki prem scene was soo boring, the first half was interesting, aparna jis scene main ati hai sab maza kharab hojata hai, poor PD!! Whole hotel scene was stupid..

And anurag what to say, I just wanted to see a change in his character, I enjoyed sam lecture to prerna, that was the only interesting part but then anu behaviour made me dissapoint.. What they are doing..Cant understand...
