Mukti had been moping around the house,dressed in her PJ's. She hadn't even bothered to change and lets face it, she thought, what's the use, there is nothing to do except sit around and do nothing. She turned on the TV and a tub of icecream from the fridge and sat down to watch A Walk to Remember.Mukti was in tears by the end of the movie and this did nothing to lighten her mood.She was really missing Prerna, her chotima, at the moment feeling miserable and sorry for herself.
The riniging of the bell was a welcome break from this gloomy and depressing day for Mukti had done nothing but eat and watch TV the whole day and she rushed down the stairs to open the door before whoever was riniging the bell changed their mind and decided to leave. By the time she reached the door, she was breathless from runnig down a flight of stairs. She wenched the door open and stared in surprise for there stood Prem in front of her. She rubbed her eyes just to make sure she was'nt hallucinating.
Prem: Aisay kya dekh rahi ho? Main koi bhoot nahi.
Mukti gave a squeal of delight and gave prem an enormous hug which left him confounded yet happy.
Mukti: Tum yahan kaya kar rahay ho? I'm so happy to see you. Main itna bore ho rahi thee..Chotima aur Sneha kahan hain? Tum kab aaye? Kahin main sapna tou nahi dekh rahee?
Prem: Arrey Basanti saray sawl yahan per hee poocho ge kya? andar nahi bulao ge?As for a sapna, mujhey nahi pata tha ke tum meray baray main dream karti ho!! He pinched her arm.
Mukti: Ouch!!!!! What was that for? she asked rubbing the sore spot.
Prem: Just a reality check. You are not dreaming and I am really here. Ab main andar aa sakta hoon kya? Mukti moved aside to let him in and behind him stood Kasak.
Mukti:OMG OMG...you are really here!! I missed you soo much. She gave Kasak a hug and went outside to greet the others.
Prerna: Mukti! kaisa laga humara surprise?
Mukti: Awesome!! I am soo glad you guys are here. I was soo bored. There was nothing to do and my friends are all busy but now that you guys are here, we will have a rocking time. I'm going to show you America..My way!! She exchanged hi-fi's with Sneha and Kasak.
Prem:Oh btw I invited Sharad and Shravan along. Hope you don't mind.
Mukti: Not at all. The more the merrier. She then went off to change as she was still dressed in her nightsuit and was recieving weird looks from Prerna and Mr. Bajaj. Prerna noticed her tear stained cheeks and followed Mukti upstairs.
Prerna: Mukti beta tum ro rahi thee? Is everything ok?
Mukti: Ofcourse chotima woh main eek movie dekh rahi thee...it was a bit sad issiliye main thodi sentimental ho gaye. She changed and rejoined everyone else.Mr Bajaj was deep in conversation with her dad. Mukti looked around her and smiled in joy. All the people she loved, under one roof.
Mukti: Sneha, Kasak you guys want to go clubbing tonight?
Kasak: Yeah!!...She looked at Prem and the guys who were looking at them hopefully. Her eyes twinkled with merriment as she said
Kasak: But no guys. It'll he a girls nightout. She grinned when she saw the crestfallen expression on their faces.
Mukti: Deal. She led the girls to her room where they spent an hour getting ready and they finally came down looking like angels.
Mukti was wearing a demure white backless dress with a belt on the waist. It fell a little below her thighs and she put onmatching white high heels.Kasak put on a blue silk halter midriff top and black jeans and Sneha wore a red spaghetti strap dress that clung her body and moulded every single curve of her body.They exited waving cheerfully at the angry guys and drove off in Mukti's Porsche.
Mukti: You guys want to go check out Club Nirvana
Kasak: I've heard about it. But Mukti how are we going to get in. From what I've read and heard, the only let in famous people such as movie stars...How will we get in? I think we should go somewhere else. I seems impossible to get there.
Mukti: The word Impossible does not exist in my dictionary. She parked her car and strode foward with an air of elegance and grace. sneha and Kasak follwed her. Mukti's confident stride gave them confidence as well and they walked towardsthe club purposefully. Mukti's steps did not waver even when she was stopped at the door by a bouncer.
Bouncer: Hey! You can't go in there. This place is only for exclusive people. You stay out.
Mukti: This palce? Too exclusive for me. How dare you? she exclaimed feircely and for a second the bouncer was takenback. He searched his memory banks trying to place her but he had never seen her before and that was a clear sign that she did not belong here. However there was something almost regal about her and she gave off an air of power and vitality.
Bouncer: You heard me. Now clear off.
Mukti: You dare refue me! The princess of Jhansi.How dare you?I will have your head for this she said royally. Behind her Sneha looked t her with awe and amusement while Kasak tried to stifle her laughter.
Bouncer: Princess....? of where?
Mukti: You mean to tell me that you don't know me? I am the princess Mukti of Jhansi, daughter of His Royal Highness,King Jeevan. Kasak stifled yet another wave of laughter whereas Sneha looked apprehensive.
Mukti: These are my cousins. We heard that this club was the best here so we came here for some fun. However I was unaware of the fact that we would be refused admission. My father shall be really displeased. He will buy out the club then and then it will be off with your head. The bouncer was really worried by now. He wasn't sure if she was bluffing or not but wasn't willing to loose his job if it turned outto be the real thing. Beads of presperation were evident on his forehead.
Bouncer: I apologize Your Highness. Please excuse my impudence and ignorance. He waved them in and as soon as they were out of earshot they burst into peals of laughter. They clutched at their sides as they laughed.
Kasak: That was an Oscar award winning performance. My God the look on his face was priceless and they burst out again. The club was everytihng and more. They had a blast and partied their hearts out.
Sneha: OMG!! I JUST SAW JOHNNY DEPP!! I swear I am going to faint.They left late and Mukti blew a kiss to the bouncer as she drove off in her Porsche.
Prem, Sharad and Shravan were bored out of their skull for they had nothing to do and were looking foward for the girls to return. An hour past midnight, 2 hours and then finally at the stroke of 3, Mukti, Kasak and Sneha entered, still discussing the thrill and excitement of the day.
Prem: Where did you guys go? he asked pretending to be uninterested.
Mukti: Club Nirvana. She grinned at the incredulous look on their faces.
Sharad: You've gotto be kidding me. They would have turned you away!
The boys curosity was satisfied by Kasak who was bursting to impart the knowledge to someone. She related the whole event and had them in stiches as she acted out the part of Mukti and the bouncer. The guys were sorely disappointed when they learnt that they had missed out an oppurtunity to visit the excluive club.
