and Mr Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Ronit Roy's popularity has scaled new heights. So much so, that the actor is now commonly referred to as the 'Amitabh Bachchan of the the small screen'. And surprisingly, Ronit also shares his birthdate with Big B. So, what does he have to say about this comparison? "It's quite a coincidence that we're both born on the same date (October 11). But Amitabh Bachchan of the big screen is Amitabh Bachchan of the small screen too. He did Kaun Banega Crorepati remember?" laughs Ronit.
But on a more serious note, he continues, "It's not fair to refer to anyone as him. No one can be as good as him and all comparisons are futile." But the truth remains that Ronit has to live with the tag. "Well, it's an honour if people call me that. I don't take it too seriously though. But yes, it does add to my responsibility as an actor. It drives me to do better. But apart from that, there is just no comparison," says Ronit modestly.
