Though Sampada (Moonmoon) is Anurag Basu's wife No 4 in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, she was the woman Anurag turned to, in times of crises. Moonmoon relates what goes into the making of Sampada
Sampada was Anurag's buddy who ended up being his life partner.
Sampada's entry was post Kasautii's generation leap. Anurag considers Sampada his emotional anchor. He often turns to her for advice. But Sampada has feelings for him and is unable to tell him, while Anurag is unable to comprehend her.
How distinct is Moonmoon from Sampada?
Moonmoon is extremely possessive. For me, both mental and physical fidelity is important in a relationship. The current track of Kasautii has Prerna returning to Anurag's scheme of things. Sampada does not seem to mind. She prefers to turn a blind eye as she knows Prerna is deeply in love with Mr Bajaj (Ronit Roy). But I would detest the fact that my man is friendly with his ex. I would not even like the thought of him talking to her.
Do Sampadas exist off-screen?
Yes. You just have to look around and you find several women who are so blindly in love that they believe everything their men tell them. They are docile and never question their man.
