Kanchi Kaul would love to give her boss a piece of her mind!
....That is, if she has to deal with a boss who's a devil in disguise. TV actors tell BT what they would do in such a situation

GITA HARI

Bosses are always viewed as stern, strict disciplinarians who have forgotten to smile, are unappreciative and only know how to extract work out of their subordinates and the juniors know better than to rub their bosses the wrong way. But what if the person in charge, besides criticising his/her staff 's capabilities, also happens to be rude, nasty and ruthless, unforgiving and
humiliating? Remember Sridevi in Ladla — will our small screen stars take it lying low or give it back as good as it gets, especially if it is a female boss? Moreover, how good or wicked a boss will they themselves make?
Shveta Salve, plays the head honcho of a TV channel in Kittu Sab Jaanti Hai, who spews venom at her staff and is literally a terror in the office. Would she take the same from an illtempered boss herself ? "Some people never change, hence it is pointless to retort or make them understand. I would quit the job since I believe in working in a friendly environment." And is she a difficult boss herself ? "I have my make-up man, hairdresser, driver working under me and I am quite friendly with them. I just can't throw my weight around. They are human beings after all and need to be treated with dignity," she says.
Sai Deodhar seconds the opinion, "I will quit the job. I just cannot work under anyone so malicious and mean. As for me being such a boss, no I won't be like that. As a person in charge I guess your subordinates have certain expectations of you and I will be quite a taskmaster to crystallise the vision of my company but not by being ruthless and nasty."
Kanchi Kaul aka Ananya of Ek Ladki Anjaani Si is sure to create something akin to World War III, as she exclaims, "No chance! Not at the cost of my selfesteem. I will give my boss a piece of my mind and just stomp out.." And as a boss to her hairdresser, spot-boy and driver, this girl is too sweet to be spiteful, "I appreciate them if the situation demands and if they err, I tell them masti-mazak mein. Sometimes I have to be strict as being overly sweet may unnecessarily spoil my staff."
