(No Anurag or Sanika in focus this time. Basically this part is abt Rishabh and Prerna)
Recap: Rishabh decides to go back to Mumbai and tells his decision to Sanika.
Rishabh continued -"Prerna ke bohot ehsaan hai mujh par. Aaj main jo kuch bhi hu, sirf Prerna ki wajah se hu. Meri Zindagi ko prerna ne sanwara tha, aur maine use aaj-tak sirf dukh diya hai, kabhi koi khushi nahi di. Main gunahgaar hu uska. Aur ab uske bure waqt mein main yahan khush kaise reh sakta hu? Mujhe jaana hi hoga Sanika, Prerna ke chehre par phir se muskan laane ke liye. "
Sanika stared at him. She felt helpless. Prerna was his wife- the mother of his children-the grandmother of his grandchildren, and she was the 'Other Woman'. What right she had to stop him from going back to Prerna...
She smiled bravely and said "Is there any way I can help you?"
Rishabh said "Thanks. Meri packing kar do. I'll just go and check on abhi" He went outside where abhi was playing with his friends. Sanika went to do his packing. "Love is seeing your lover happy." She told herself. If going back to Prerna was going to make Rishabh happy, she was not going to stop him.
Mumbai...Rishabh's plane landed and he quickly got out of the airport. He didn't want anyone to recognise him. He reached his new house which he had recently bought. Tushar, Cookie, their spouses, Mahesh and his best friend Gupta were already present there. "Dad!!!!" Cookie hugged him with teary eyes. After a quick emotional reunion, his family left. He was left alone, to plan his next move.
The next one week was spent in a whirlwind of activities. There was no time to pamper himself with concepts like 'jet lag'. His room had got the look of a war control room- with documents, print-outs , business reports and CDs strewn around. Tushar had done a good job of collecting business data of anurag's businesses. Internet, phones and video conferencing systems were switched on 24*7- connecting Rishabh to the stock-brokers, bankers, his former core team of Bajaj Group, overseas offices, KYM Group officials, KP Groups employee union leaders and the government officials in New Delhi.
Rishabh was quite satisfied with the way he was working on his plan. It's been one week since he had reached here, and he had managed to remain unidentified. Aseem- his manager in Mumbai, was doing a fantastic job-giving Rishabh a complete cover-up. He was surprized to hear the door-bell ring. He wasn't expecting any visitors at this hour. He opened the door. Neil entered carrying two bags, and Kasak was behind him- carrying abhishek who was sleeping.
"tum log? yun achaanak?" Rishabh was now getting worried.
"Dad, Neil has some business work here. He'll be here for two months. I decided to join him. I had not been to mumbai since my marriage.." Rishabh frowned. What if some1 spots kasak? and then they reach to him?
"Dad, it looks like u are not happy that we are here?"
Rishabh glared at her.
"I can explain this." He explained to them abt his plan. "So u guys can stay here, but just lie low for a few days. OK?"
"Sure...and I can also help u in this plan alongwith aseem and tushar bhaiyya." Neil offered.
"Does mom know abt this?" Kasak asked.
"which mom?" rishabh said.
"What u do mean? I have only ONE mom. Dr. Sanika Mehta." Kasak's voice became sharp. Neil looked at her worriedly. He knew very well that Kasak was proud to call herself 'Dr. Sanika Mehta's daughter' and she never liked to mention her real mother prerna. He knew his sweetheart had a lot of hurt bottled up inside her related to the this name 'Prerna' , and he didn't want the topic to start again.
"Your mom doesn't know much abt this. " Rishabh said.
Prerna was sitting alone in her room. Anurag saw her and his heart went out for her. All he ever desired was her happiness, but why was it so difficult?
"Prerna, let's go for a walk in the park. You'll feel better." He said. Prerna went with him as she didn't want to break his heart. Prerna sat on a park bench. "Prerna, main abhi aaya. I need to make an important call and I forgot my phone at home." anurag left.
Prerna closed her eyes, and just sat there, thinking about her complicated life. Suddenly, a football came for nowhere and hit on her head. Startled, she opened her eyes.
A little boy came running. He picked up the ball and looked at prerna and said "Sorry". Prerna looked at the kid. He was a handsome little boy. he was around 3 yrs old, fair, chubby cheeks, blue-brown eyes, stiff upper lip, cleft on his cheek-very cute. She felt a strong bond of connection with him-and that cleft looked so familiar. She felt as if she knew him very well. But how was that possible? She had never seen him before. She smiled at him.
"Are you scared too? My grandpa gets scared when my football hits him." he said.
Prerna patted his cheek and said "I am not scared. It's ok." She noticed the locket he was wearing. She felt as if she had seen a similar locket before.
"Abhishek baba, chalo ab ghar" A woman who looked like his nanny came there and took him away.
So his name is abhishek, Prerna thought. and she also remembered that Mr Bajaj used to wear a similar locket. As she saw abhishek walking away, she felt- had sneha given birth to her child, she too- would have had a grandchild now of her own. Anurag came back. Prerna smiled at him. That evening, Prerna felt especially happy and positive, but she herself couldn't tell the reason for this joyous feeling.
