I am just so shocked seeing the fact that he has so many fans who actually LOVE him for the way he is..the only respite i have is that the number of his India-based fans is very very less. at least my own country ppl hvnt sold themselves to the devil ...

Ok, you know what? That's it. I don't think I can take much more of this. Don't you dare tell me and all the non-resident Indians that we are "less Indian" than you are. I am proud of being Indian and having the values and morals that an Indian girl SHOULD have. I don't see very many Prem fans who support his current actions. If you would ever bother to read the posts properly you would see that in NO WAY do we justify him. We talk about the Prem who is lost and who may never return and we accept this. But don't you be telling us that we have "sold ourselves to the devil"...sorry to say Tulip but it is narrow-mindedness on your part to assume that people who live outside of India are cheap and immoral...like I have said countless times, this is a TV SHOW, its meant to be more dramatic and less believable than real life....none of the characters in any of these shows represent truthfully any person in real life..the intelligent people know where to draw the line between fiction and reality.

I'm sorry Sukhi and Manasi, I don't mean to cause a fight but Tulip cannot go around judging us on the basis of a television show. You don't know me and if you think that by reading my posts here you have "figured me out", AND that you have the right to pass judgement on me, then you are very VERY wrong, Tulip. I don't give anyone that liberty.

That was well written nitica.I don't feel the slightest sympathy for that scum prem and just hope he gets the punishment he so deserves.

But Tulip..do we need to attack the fans and their morality for liking a fictional character?

Why bring up this issue of indians versus non-indians..

Nitica, I too was let down today.

What I cannot, CANNOT understand is this... Prem/UD might have hated Mother India, might have wanted to rid of Mukti, but how could he do this to Sneha? There's a conversation between Aparna and himself where he refuses to break Sneha's marriage because he believed she, like him, was screwed up because of their parents. In that conversation I saw so much empathy and affection for his sister... of course projected in his own nonchalant, careless way, but affection nonetheless. How could he do this to Sneha? Is he really selfish in the end?

I must say I couldn't believe that of Sneha today! It's the first time I have seen the fragile, delicate, sweet Sneha so strong and determined. I actually expected Kamini to react the way she did because, though she is stupid and prejudiced, Kamini is not evil like Shailender. I always felt her heart and her arrogance would break the day she found out what her son had done, and thankfully did. But I never expected Sneha to be so strong, and I am so proud of her.

Dear Tulip,

I do not see any reason for you, me or anyone else to judge anybody based on their geographical placements.Staying in India or outside India doesn't make anybody good or bad, or more-Indian or less-Indian. Most of my own relatives are NRIs and a few of them have done so much for their rural villages staying abroad that our own efforts cannot match up to them.

Please do not misunderstand Prem's fans. They are impressed and intrigued by the way Prem portrays his dual personality and the rendition of the character on the whole.It's basically his wicked charm and his efforts to ruin his own stained innocence and vulnerability that draws people to him....BUT! Nobody in their right senses stands by his actions.....even staunch Prem-supporters want him to suffer for his misdeeds against Mukti and be at her feet begging forgiveness.

As for what I want? Well, all I want is justice and peace for Mukti, redemption and guilt for Prem and his ultimate deliverance from sin and damnation. As for the love angle, either today or tomorrow, it will happen, but Prem is forever going to be inferior to Mukti in this tale of love, trust, betrayal and faith.

I agree with you psawyer..We dont like Prem for who he is at the moment..Tulip I would like to apologise if I amde it sound like that.
Let me just justify on my part atleast. I liked his character initially because it was different from the other characters. After all he did to Mukti and the entire family I hated his CHARACTER. From then onwards his character has only gone downhill. Just liked him when he actually transformed from UD into Prem. I said I felt bad because I want PRem and Mukti to be together and i don't see that happening for now. Doesnt mean any of us support Prem..Anyway is just a television show. Please stop assuming things. I honestly like Prem because of Manoj..Not because of his evil deeds..
