what happened was that the car broke down and they had to spend the night in a garage. Prem slept in the hammock leaving Mukti to sleep on the floor!! she got drunk on his brandy (coz it was cold and brandy warms u up--see DDLJ for the reference!!) and started insulting him (very funny scene)...then she fell to the floor as she became unconscious. They DID not sleep together until the Valentine's Day-week of episodes, and it was only once...
