great part abhi, so bani is coming on terms but still scared of being intimate, what is stopping her, i think it must be some stupid words of jigs or someother thing haunting her

Hi,

Hi all, y do i feel, since the strike had started, the ff's are being updated more frequently. Is it my illusion or is it really so? 🤔

I am posting the next part. I am not able to type continuously as i am coughing and sneezing badly that i am not able to breath properly because of this stupid cold 😡 i will post the other half pretty soon... 😊

Here goes the next part:

Part 26A

Jai and Bani looked at the direction of the voice. Anu was standing there with an amused expression on her face.

Jai released Bani from the hug and smiled widely. "Anu…" He called her and got up to go to her.

Anu pouted, "Yeh kya mamu… Study mein romance…?" she winked at him.

Jai laughed and hit her shoulders playfully and hugged her. Bani smiled at the scene and watched both of them. She looked at both without even blinking. She wondered whether she needed to get up and go beside them.

Anu asked, "Bani mami…" She stressed on both the words that caught Bani's attention. "Kaisi hai aap?" she asked.

Bani nodded her head smilingly. Before Bani could say anything, Jai asked, "Tu kaisi hai? Tabiyat teek hai na?" Bani smiled and bent her head down.

"Mujhe kya? Main toh ek dum fit hoon…" Anu said showing her entirely self.

"Dikh raha hai ki kaisi ho? Patli ho gayi ho…" Jai said firmly.

"Toh phir? Hostel ka khana khake koi mota thodi na ban jaata! Kyun Bani Mami?" Anu said.

Bani was taken aback. She stood and walked towards them. "Woh hostel mein depend karta hai…" She paused and said, "Tumhare hostel ke baare mein pata nahin… lekin mere hostel mein toh khana achche hi the…"

Anu sighed. "Aap toh lucky hai, Mami! Mujhe itna luck kahaan!"

Jai hit her head slightly. "Aise baatein kar rahi ho jaise ki poori zindagi jee li…"

Anu glared at Jai and rubbed her head. "Mama, aap iske baare mein baatein na ki toh achcha hai. Aapko kya? Aapko toh hamesha ghar ka khana mila…!"

Jai smiled and put his arms around her. "Dadiji… shayad aap bhool rahi hai… main teen saal ghar se door raha… zara yaad karke dekhiye…"

Anu stuck out her tongue, whereas Bani frowned. What did he mean by he stayed away from home for three years!

Jai asked, "So… exams are over?"

Anu said, "Uski yaad kyun dila rahe hai aap? Bahut koshish karke bhoola hai maine…"

Jai chuckled, "Bhoolne ki zaroorat tab padti hai jab yaad mein rehta hai, Ma'am…"

Anu turned and placed both her hands on her hips. "Mamu, you are making fun of me…"

Jai laughed and said, "Main toh bas mazaak kar raha hoon… Chal… bata… kaisa tha yeh saal?" He led Anu to the couch where he was sitting with Bani just few minutes back. Anu came and sat beside him and opened her bag of complaints.

Bani did not know whether to stay or leave. She felt there was no room for her. She looked at both of them for few seconds, smiled and left the study quietly. Jai and Anu were engrossed in deep conversation that they did not notice Bani leaving.

After the bag of complaints became half empty, Jai said, "Wait… tumhare liye ek khush kabri."

Anu went curious, "Achcha? Kya?"

Jai smiled and said, "Tum didi bannewali ho?"

Anu frowned, "Kya? Lekin mama aur papa ne kyun nahin batayi mujhe..." It was Jai's turn to frown now. "This is not done, mamu. Mama ko mujhe pehle batana chahiye tha. So what I am in hostel?"

Jai was confused. Then understood what she had understood. He hit her head at the back. "Main tumhari maa ki baat nahin kar raha hoon. Apne baare mein baat kar raha hoon…"

Anu blinked. Then broke out into a wide smile. "Mamu… sachchi!!!! I am so happy…!" She hugged.

Jai hugged her back and said, "No wonder you are having tough time studying!"

Anu said, "This is not done. Jab se aayi hoon, mera mazaak uda rahe hai!" She pouted. Then said, "Aapne pehle kyun nahin bataye… aur Mami aap bhi nahin?" and Anu looked around to find no one. "Arey! Kahaan gayi?" Anu asked.

Jai's eyes were travelling everywhere in the room. He closed his eyes wondering when she left the room. Jai looked back at Anu and said, "Apne kamre mein hogi… Main… main le aata hoon…" and he got up.

Anu said, "Main bhi aati hoon. Mujhe congratulate bhi toh karna hai!" and followed him.

They both left the study.

Bani drank a glass of water as soon as she came to their room. She sat on the bed placing her hands on her lap. After few seconds, she kept her hands on the bed and moved restlessly. The scene of Anu with Jai played across her eyes. She was finding difficult to digest it. A sob arose in her throat, which was followed by her tears. It took few seconds for her realize that she was indeed on the verge of crying, or in other words, in fact crying. She wiped her tears immediately and shook her head to shake away her thoughts. No, she won't think about it… The doctor had told her to be happy. She would be happy. The scene again played in front of her eyes. But this time, she could see the happiness on their face. She smiled in spite of herself. She got up and helped herself a sheet of paper. She started to sketch the outline of the scene roughly.

She was brought out of her concentration by the sound of the door opening. She raised her head to look who it was. It was Jai and Anu. She placed the sketch on the side table and smiled at them.

"Yeh kya mami? Aap toh aise hi chali aayi!" Anu said as she walked towards her side. "Anyways… Congratulations. I am so happy." She spoke excitedly. "You know what? I just don't believe ki I am going to be an elder sister….!" She said looking at the ceiling as if she was just imagining.

Bani smiled at her antics. Jai said, "Chal, bahut ho gaya tumhara naatak. Baad mein… Pehle jaake fresh ho jao. Warna tumhari maa bekaar mein mujhpar padegi… Chal…" He made Anu leave.

Anu made a face at Jai and looked at Bani. She said, "Main baad mein aati hoon…" She winked and left the room.

Bani looked at Anu's departing figure and smiled.

Jai locked the door and came and sat beside Bani. Bani tried to look at him smilingly. Jai smiled and brought her head to his chest. Bani hugged his torso for support. 'Main tumhein hamesha bhool kyun jaata hoon, Bani?'

After sometime, he asked, "Kya kar rahi ho?"

Bani said, "Kuch nahin…"

After few minutes of silence, he said, "I love you, Bani…"

Bani stiffened for a second, then hugged his torso little more tightly. Jai placed a kiss on the top of her head.

Jai took Bani downstairs for fresh air and atmosphere. Also, it was nearly time for dinner. He asked Tony to cut some fruits and took the bowl to the garden where Bani was already there. She was sitting in the grass as usual and watching the sky. She always felt it was fascinating to watch the sky at the time of sunrise and sunset. The colors that they displayed, the hybrid colors, which she referred to as… was beyond man's talent. That's what we call nature. After all, Nature is the mother of all creations. Earlier, she used to watch it from the balcony, now from the garden.

Jai came and sat near Bani. Bani turned to look back at him, then she saw the bowl. "Yeh kya hai?"

"Fruits, aur kya?" Jai said innocently.

"Woh mujhe pata hai. Mera matlab kiske liye?"

"Of course, humare liye… Tum toh akeli khaogi nahin, toh maine socha ki kyun na main thoda company de doon…?" Jai said sweetly.

Bani giggled.

"Shuru karein?" Jai said.

Bani took a piece of fruit and put it in her mouth. She looked at the sky.

Jai pretended to eat a piece. He noticed her looking at the sky. "Kya dekh rahi ho?" He asked.

Bani did not look at him, but said, "Kitne khoobsurat colors hain na? Hum chahke bhi aise colors mix nahin kar sakte…"

Jai looked at her for a minute. He fed her a piece and asked slowly, "Kabse tum drawing karne lagi ho?"

Bani looked at him this time and frowned as if thinking. Then said, "Aligarh aane ke baad se…"

"Achcha? Mujhe toh pata hi nahin tha…!" Jai said feeding another piece.

"Aap khayiye na!" Bani fed him a piece. Then said, "Kisiko batane ka mauka hi nahin mila."

They sat there for a pretty long time till the darkness started prevailing. By then, the bowl of fruits was finished.

"Chalo… dinner karte hai…" Jai said and got up.

Bani was amused. "Arey, abhi abhi humne phal khaye. Ab khana kaise khayenge?" Bani asked.

"Ab nahin, baad mein. Ab andar chalte hai. Andera cha raha hai…" He gave a hand to Bani. Bani caught his hand and got up to her feet. They both walked inside.
