Good start with chapter one.... Chapter two was indeed nice.... I wonder what part does Jai play in... let's wait and watch....! I loved Jai's point of view in chapter three..... Chapter 4A was told in mostly Jai and Anu's point of view.... I'm confused! Where is Pia and was Pushkar Bani's husband or there is more to it? Please clear my confusion if you can....

I see you got a-little Kumkum style inside your fan-fic and I love it.... Glad J-B are married! I understand that it will take some time from Bani side because of her first marriage.... Anyways please continue asap.....

Love

Hi all
Sorry I haven't updated for such a long time. I haven't written for such a long time, so I am sorry if this update was not up to the mark. As always, comments, suggestions, etc are always welcome.
A knock at the door came as a welcome reprieve, Jai walked to the door, and opened it. The waiter walked in and left the tray on the table. Jai closed the door and turned towards Bani. I ordered some fruit for you, just incase he said. Bani smiled. Shall I make you coffee? Okay, Jai nodded and sat back on the couch. How much sugar? One teaspoon, please. He watched Bani make the coffee and walk over to him. Thank you, he said taking it. She smiled and made herself a cup. They sat for awhile quietly sipping coffee. Then Bani served him his plate and had some fruit . After they were done, they checked out and proceeded to Walia Mansion.
CHAPTER 7
Jai sat alone at his desk reading through some files. They had an excellent year and he decided that along with the bonuses that the staff were getting, he would give them a half day today before the weekend. He believed that this was a good way to thank them for all their hard work. A faint alarm disturbed his concentration. He glanced at the clock, it was 2:00. He immediately packed his files in his bag and rushed to his car. He was eager to get home. This would be the first time that he would be back home this early. He couldn't wait to see the look in Aman's eyes when he would see him when he was back from school. A smile came over him thinking about Aman. It had been two months since Aman had been living with him; he had grown to love him immensely. Aman showered him with affection, and it had been so easy getting attached to him. He would wait up for Jai, and Jai would always make it a point to be home by 7:30, something that had been very difficult for him, but he had done it anyways. They would always have dinner together with Aman talking non-stop about what he did during the day. He would then have to tuck him in bed, after telling him a story of course. Jai chuckled softly to himself.
He then rememebered Aman pestering Bani to make him aloo ka paratha, when he got home. Bani had agreed but he knew it would be tough for her. She was usually back only at 3:00 pm, just in time to receive Aman when he came back from school at 3:15pm. Bani, he smiled thinking about her. She had made his penthouse a home. They had moved back to Delhi a few days after the wedding, and it had been a consious effort on both their sides to get used to the whole situation. Although his penthouse was big enough for all of them, it was still awkward to run into Bani everyday. They had eventually fallen into a routine, just as two flatmates sharing an apartment.
He now looked forward to going home at night, not just to see Aman, but to see Bani waiting for him. He had to admit, she was a fantastic cook, the sweet aroma of the house always manged to entice his senses. But it was not just her cooking that made him look forward to see her. She had brought with her a warmth to his house. Her sweet nature, her caring attitutude, her wonderful personality, her tinkling laughter. He used to drag his feet to come home before. The four walls of the penthouse seemed so deary, so lifeless. But now, it was as if it was bursting with an energy, with a warm happy feeling that he could not really explain. She would always ask him about his day, and listen to him talk after Aman was in bed. He liked her concern for him,and sharing about his day. She had taken a while to open up to him and even though she ever talked about her life, she would often talk about Aman and Rano, who was studying at Bombay. Bani missed her terribly, and when they had moved to Delhi, Jai had felt bad for uprooting her from a place she was familiar with.
The day after the wedding, Jai was torn at first, not knowing what to do. He had to go back to Delhi, back to his company, but he had seen how much Uday and Krishna were attached to Bani and Aman. He wanted to leave them back, so that they remained in familiar surroundings, where they both were loved and adored, but was not sure whether that would be appropriate now that he and Bani were married. The last thing he wanted was people still talking about her or his family in a derogatory way. It was his dad who laid out conditions for him. Jai was to take Bani and Aman with him to Delhi, till he could figure out what to do. On his part, Uday was planning to retire next year and leave everything in Jai's name. He wanted to take Krishna to all the holy places in India and then go on to tour the world. He had worked long and hard and now he wanted to spend the remaining part of his life with her, to be by her side, something he was not really able to give her in all these years. Jai had been confused for some time after that, and it was Bani who had actually made it simple for him. Just before they were to leave Bombay, Bani had told him that no maller what he decided, she would remain by his side. She did not make any demands. He had felt instantly lighter and since he had a year to think about his dad's company, he figured he would worry about it then.

He was jolted out of this thoughts when the car came to a stop near his building. He immediately walked to his pentouse and keeping his bag on ths side entered the kitchen. He was going to make the parathas today.

Bani looked at her watch. It was 3:00 pm already, she was rushing towards the penthouse, she had promised Aman she would make him parathas. She also had to make more for Jai, he loved aloo parathas, they were his favorite. She blushed at her thoughts. She had felt awkward at first living with him, he was a stranger to her, but he had been nothing short of a gentleman. He was a wonderful sweet man, who's only real fault was that he overindulged Aman. She smiled to herself. He was very good looking, and she was sure that many girls would have fallen head over heels for him. But what really memerised her was his eyes. Those steely grey eyes, that seemed to contain the depth of the oceans in them, so sincere, so honest, such loving eyes. She looked forward to greeting him every morning, and waited impatiently for him to come home every night. She had slowly realised that she was falling for him, and even though she knew that she was heading for a heartbreak, because he looked upon her as a friend and nothing more, she could not control her heart. It always pulled her towards him, no matter how hard she tried. Now she had accepted ther fact, and though it pained her deeply to know it would never be reciprocated for it was afterall a compromise on his part, she was still hopeful, and was thankful of the time she had with him. It did seem pathetic to her own ears, but she could nor bear to look towards the future, to see anythig else other than what she felt now.

She turned the lock to the and walked to her room to freshen up. A few minutes later she walked into the kitchen only to find it turned upside down. She looked around in horror till she saw Jai standing in the middle practically covered with flour. He was trying to roll out chappatis it seemed, and hadn't noticed her come in. She bit her lip to stop herself from laughing out at the sight in front of her. She watched him make faces at the chapati he was rolling'.he did look so cute. It was only when he raised the chapatti off the table that he saw her leaning by the door, with a smile on her face. He smiled back, When did you get back? Bani replied, Just now. You are early today. Yes, half day at the office, thought I would help out to make the parathas for Aman, but it doesn't seem to be coming out the way I want it to, he said showing her a shapeless paratha. Bani couldn't help but giggle. Shall I do it, she asked. Jai nodded. She smiled and started walking towards him. Suddenly she slipped and fell onto him, and he instead of grabbing the table, missed and pulled the flour tin which fell over them. They looked at each other and started laughing. Bani brushed his hair trying to remove the flour. You need to take a shower now Mr Walia, she said lauging. You too, he said and reached out to wipe the flour off her nose. She giggled and he stood up , holding his hand out to her. She caught and stood up but slipped again, but this time he caught her, and her laughter stopped as soon as he held her close to steady her, his hand brushing against her soft creamy midriff . Bani felt her whole body tingle, and a rush of emotion flooded her, clouding her senses. She stood staring at him unable to move, her hands resting carelessly on his chest. His eyes met hers, and he stood slowly raised his hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, and she trembled in his arms. She closed her eyes and suddenly heard the bell ring. They both flew apart.

It was a while before Bani was able to make the aloo parathas and serve to Aman and Jai. She had become very concoius around Jai and had to take long breaths frequently to calm her neves. After Aman was tucked into bed at night, Jai stepped into his study. Bani knocked a little while later with his herbal tea. He stared at her as she nervously laid it on his table. He had never really taken the time to really notice her before. He did find her very attractive and alluring, but having her in hs arms felt so right. Her gentle feminine curves, and her beautiful sweet smelling hair were almost drugging. She turned to leave when she heard him call out her name. She stopped, afraid to look at him. She was horrified at how obvious her felings had been in front of him today and was afraid to talk to him, what if he were uncomfortable around her, would he avoid her now? He gently touched her shoulder, and she took a sharp intake of breath and slowly turned her around, unable to make eye contact, was he going to tell her that it was over?

Bani I wanted to thank you. Bani looked up confused.Thank me she asked , for what? He stared at her, his eyes shinning mischieviously. For the excellent parathas, they were wonderful. She blushed and then smiled inspite of herself. You're very welcome, Mr Walia. Good night, Bani he said and turned to walk towards his chair. Good night Mr Walia, she said almost relieved, and turned to walk away. Just as she reached the door. She heard him again call out her name, she turned to find him walking towards her. One more thing, before you go. Yes, Mr Walia?, she asked. He lifted his had and reached up behind her head and pulled at her bun, her hair fell tumbling down . She looked at him suprised. You look better with your hair open Bani, he siad turning around and walking to his desk. Bani stared at his retreating back and stood there not knowing what to do . He sat at his desk smiling at her for a bit and then spoke. Good night Bani, and please call me Jai, Mr Walia is too formal for my wife. A red tinge covered her entire face and she mumbled good night and ran out. She could swear she heard his deep throated laughter comg from the room.

Had to read the whole thing again, did not want it to come to an end.

What a beautiful story, Jai, Bani and Aman, and thank goodness no Walia house for now.

Keep it this way for a while, just the three of them.

I'm not being selfish.

Continue soon, thank you.
